2. At least they're
doing better than last time.

It's a good thing that Aussie bowler did his ankle in during the warm up... :-)

8. The English are REALLY sad to see McGrath not playing
:sarcasm:

That said, I certainly don't think we would have been 132-1 at lunch if Glenn McGrath had been playing. The guy's just too good.

13. Doesn't look like it
Freddie seems to have figured out how to play against the Oz bowlers, 50 runs from under 50 balls.

270-4 now

26. An excellent run-out by Vaughan
How do people feel about Gereint Jones' wicket-keeping? I don't keep up with county wicket-keepers, but I'm surprised if he's the best in England - his standard seems more like Alec Stewart, without his compensating excellence with the bat.

31. Does the phrase "England batting collapse" sound familiar?
They were 31-4; now 75-6. Lee and Warne have taken 3 wickets each. The English bowlers are going to have to do something special to win this one.

England win by 2 runs. We almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. And I apologise foor my earlier doubts of Gereint Jones.

I hope England take better advantage of a McGrath-less Australia next time. This match was too close.

I'm relieved England won though :)
