The Interpretation Game Gets us Nowhere

I am sure to be flamed for this, but we need to stop looking for interpretation in every damned thing -- fishing for any possible angle of support in what Kerry says or the look Aaron Brown had when he wouldn't show the Sun Times headline or what Olbermann "really" means in his blog.

Kerry has not stepped up other than to throw us a bone in one county in Ohio.

The headline Brown was smirking about had nothing to do with the vote.

I'll go out on limb on the latest and claim that Olbermann's blog is exactly what he said it is -- a heads up that putting all our eggs in Bev Harris' basket could be a stupid move based on his experience. What is there even to read into it? He's saying that he can't get her to show her tapes, that she's generating negative PR and she may be discrediting the process. We should reserve judgment until Bev/BBV responds but we shouldn't see it as a threat to his ego or some "smoke screen" for him to try to look neutral. The post itself isn't neutral -- it's an "in our corner" message.

Don't we have enough challenges in this endeavor without trying to be psychics?

I think there are messages and a conversation going on. No, there aren't messages in everything.

If you'll remember, the Chicago Sun-Times was the paper he was referring to. What was the headline? I never checked. They certainly ran a story today about Kerry, though as I found out here on DU.

Anyhow. Assuming there are no messages is as irresposible as claiming everything is a message. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, dammit, it's a duck. He told us he was listening. He told us he wanted video.

If you're saying don't make yourself nuts analyzing everything, ok, agreed. If you're saying there's no point in wondering, ok, disagree.

p.s. If you're not into sussing out psyops, what are you doing in the spin room? :)
