This is just Act One. Get your popcorn ready.
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 01:44 PM by TruthIsAll
Rove probably never thought Kerry would seek a recount - because Bush "won" by 3.5 million. Not even close.

The whoremedia fell for it at first, of course.

But then the word started to spread like wildfire on the Net.

-Lots of strange numerical results - all in Bush's favor.
-Talk of terror alert lockouts in Cleveland - all in Bush's favor .
-Exit Polls way out of line with the tallies - all in Bush's favor.
-Odds approaching infinity that all this working in Bush's favor could not just be due to chance - from professors in academia and DU.

We are witnessing Act One of an unfolding drama.
The media needed to be brought kicking and screaming to recognize the fact that fraud DID occur. They do now.

In Act Two they will come to realize just how massive the fraud was.

In Act Three they will go after the Full Story.

Get your popcorn ready.

5. Good Point
Hopefully KO's rating increase in the last few weeks will wake some people up.
As for Rather, in my paper this morning there was a Ed letter compairing Rather to a pig iron anchor. I'm not suprised the major newscasters don't want to stick their necks out. But I hope SOMEONE does!

6. I agree that there are phases to this and we are entering a new one
Phase one was complete silence and pretending there was no fraud.

After way too long, and mostly not until Jesse Jackson took up the fight, the MSM is finally starting to cover the story, first with derision and disbelief trying to make the story go away. Then after a bit they acknowledged some "irregularities" but not fraud. Phase two.

The new phase we are entering now is the begin of recounts, and the begin of the Kerry campaign's public involvement. This brings about a whole new phase of the media's spin against Kerry and anyone who wants a recount. The personal attacks are starting. The attacks against anyone who doubts the results or even hints at overturning the official results will begin to be immense. The results of legal efforts will determine the next phase. I just feel in my gut that the next two weeks there will be so much fireworks. It's just beginning to get good.

Media are still in lockdown. Let me know when they've been forced to cover the story. Then maybe I'll plug the TV back in.

11. I don't believe Act Three
will ever occur under media initiative like it did in Watergate. In essence the focus of a few major news channels was so total it created its own legs and impetus. The media in its present state is less likely to generate heat on its own and in fact I expect it to keep clamping down on dissent from mere habit if nothing else.

Act Two has to be very very big and CAN be more than you even state. The disclosures themselves can be greater than the Nixon tapes and the event itself, not sudden media turning, will drive the nation.

Judging by how they bow to the horror of the second Bush coming and the silence over the possibilities laid plainly before them, I don't expect ANYTHING from the cable or regular networks at all. As organizations that is.

It will actually unfold in spite of the media and WH 100%. And I would like to see the whole house of cards come down, not a small win of one hand of cheater's poker. THAT is possible too and is why someone should seriously start thinking of breaking lapdog ranks.

but following DU since the "election."

Is there any change of evidence for ballots. Surely somebody could get at them and swap what they needed to swap (say as they may have in New Hampshire.) Chain of evidence--security? These guys aren't going to let a few ballots get in their way. I have a feeling this is what happened in California's health care proposal. (Oh, look here! There's more ballots, Jimmy. . .)

22. To pop perfectly, the thing we all need to be aware of is timing.
It's one thing to think about popping it immediately and then having it sit for a while. ick... In 1972, it looked good and didn't end until August 1974 and then the midterm elections that year... So I guess I am asking which expiration date on the popcorn, 2004 or 2005.

The media is chained to their corporate masters and perform on demand, not on ncessity.

24. We should be serving popcorn to those members of the US...
....Senate and HR who are sitting in their seats, with nothing to do, because they do not have a quorum on 6 Jan 2005.

It'll be a nice gesture to remind that we are the government and we will not allow the government to proceed until a fair and properly validated election has occurred.

We did not have such an election on "2 Nov 2004" and all of us, including those members of the US Senate and House of Representatives who are truly serving our Constitution are more than happy to serve popcorn and chat with those who have defaulted on their responsibilty.

And, we can recite these words to them until they 'get it':

"Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged. Their clanking may be heard on the plains of...." -- thank you, once again, Patrick Henry.

Peace.

I'm not leaving this one to the media whores. I think they've proved that we can't trust them with an important message, when it gets heated they are just going to go for the Rovian spin. We must take this issue to the streets.

I hope it does become a spectacle, but WE must be the biggest part of it.

32. Not worth the price of the popcorn
Bad drama. At least in 2000 we had a hero who put up a fight, Al Gore. He lost to the bad guys, but at least he tried.

Our current 'hero' fled before the curtain even opened. He knew of the plot, he knew of the massive fraud months in advance, and yet did nothing.

The outcome of this pitiful spectacle has been predicted by me months ago. Bush will start his second term on Jan 20, Iran will be invaded by Fall 2005. Syria by winter 2007.

33. Yes!
The 3.5 Million indicates that they're likely not expecting much to come of this. They used that large buffer to cover up anything that could be found. But enough is being found still! They're sloppy and greedy. They'd have been better off giving him just an extra half mill.
