UCC: Investigate 2004 Election

Investigate 2004 Election

A broad coalition of civil rights and nonpartisan citizen advocacy groups are pressing for answers to the many reports of voting irregularities in the November election. In many states, disabled voters continued to have trouble accessing polls, and electronic machine malfunctions and registration challenges backed up lines in many low-income and student polling sites. There seem to be many correctible errors in our election system, and the time to address them is now. Contact your members of Congress and urge them to call for an investigation of election problems by the General Accountability Office.

5. Not a Bad Concept
But it left a really bad taste in my mouth that they had to link the letters to their Church of Christ Crap.

Sorry, but investigating election irregularities/fraud/supression has nothing to do with religious affiliation.

8. Investigating and religious affiliation are exclusive in an ideal world
But in a world of idealogues, sometimes the two ride in tandem. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and let them scratch our back, so if it helps to scratch their back, too, that's okay. They are favoring inclusion on all levels.

7. They want a GAO investigation?
I think congressmen already asked for that and got sort of a
"Yes, well in the sense that theres an on-going investigation" response.

How much does it suck to live in a country where Justice and the FBI are partisan-controlled?
