My daughter's boyfriend (they postponed their engagement at his request) will arrive in Bagdad tomorrow, we think, from Kuwait. I become sick to my stomach whenever I think of this beautiful boy who just graduated from college last January thrown into the middle of this. He went through college via ROTC because he felt that was his only chance of going to college at all. Of course he began under Clinton.
By the way, he and most of his friends are anti-bush and voted for Kerry. Haven't heard much about the military vote this go around have we?

as well as all the other soldiers.
And I thought it was rather odd also that there hasn't been a peep on the military vote breakdown this election.

Thanks for the moral support. I want to add a wierd chain of events. What scares me is that his orders changed 4 or 5 times since last Jan. At one point he was even slotted for Ranger school (Aug), then pretty much out of the blue he was pulled out of the Army against his will and put in to the Tennesee Nat'l Guard!! He's from Wisconsin and did Rotc in Minn!!!
Anyone else know of this kind of stuff going on? From what I've heard, and this is just the Cliff's notes, the Army is in disarray.
