3. I just saw it. Go watch.
It's very poignant and well-made. Everyone who says "get over it" should see this and eat their words.

Thanks for posting it...Spiff

4. NO, It's Legit. It's a great video - I found it was buried under MM's
"Must Read" for December 3, 2004 at 8 pm. Down toward bottom, in which MM says:

AND FINALLY..
"Bush Won, Get Over It"

22. And Al From and Will Marshall (DLC) speak out against MM
Michael Moore is a hero in my eyes. Without him, the awareness of these issues would not be what it is today. He is a true patriot.

7. That's the wrong URL...
...you've presented direct link to one of the mirrored media files. The actual link now found on the MM site is this:

http://www.hategun.com/features/getoverit/index.html

On that page, you'll have a choice of multiple media links, with different bandwidth options, etc.

The "Get Over It" is a double-entendre...but primarily refers to the mothers and other family members of service personnel getting over the loss of their loved ones.

9. That ending was kind of spooky.
The crowd was yelling out "Four More Years! Four More Years!" But it just struck me eerily as "Seig Heil! Seig Heil!" Something in its rhythm or tenor or something...

12. Every time I hear it, I get creeped out
It's very reminiscent of the Nuremburg rallies. But there is so much more. There are the black "W - The President" stickers, the billboards in Florida and South Carolina, and the religious fervor in the recent pro-Bush rallies.

Rove has gone beyond mere campaigning and is busy developing a cult of personality around Bush. Judging by the hate mail coming from Bush's supporters to any who question him, his followers are now fanatical thugs bent on taking down any who don't hang on his every word.

Look up fascism in the dictionary and tell me that isn't what's going on here.

14. When I was in a Marxist group...
My comrades couldn't believe the bourgeois would be so so foolish as to pull this stunt again, but I kept pressing the point that run-of-the-mill liberals were quite right in their assessment that this is a genuine fascist movement. When challenged to read the analyses of fascism by Trotsky I backed it all up chapter and verse. I'm pretty sure he'd give those guys a good tongue lashing if he were still alive.

While I'm no longer a "Marxist" per se, Karl Marx is still a powerful influence in my life.

It's not a coincidence that this rotten family made money off of Jewish slave labor at Auschwitz. But I find it very interesting that many of their most powerful intellectual neocon supporters are Jews from families with Trotskyite streaks.

(Who, along with the Bushes, warmly despise the right-wing Christian rubes who make up the bulk of their foot soldiers. Just look at the way they've treated poor Pat Robertson.)

The sociopathology of this alliance is very profound.

30. Marx studied Iroquois government
I heard he took the idea of collective ownership and societal responsibility for individuals, while the US took the idea of individual enfranchisement, balance of powers, impeachment, etc.

Of course, you may be aware that the Iroquois League of Nations predated Columbus's arrival by about 500 years, and their Great Law of Peace was a big influence on our constitution.

They know how much we all hate each other and it was part of the tactic to distract U.S. from paying too much attention to these election totals.

15. Please, a must view...
So powerful and oh so sad. Drying my eyes here.

A couple of days ago, a very dear customer wrote to me to let me know that her husband was readying to go to war. I sell crystals and stones mostly for metaphysical purposes. She wanted a stone of protection for him and when reading her email I just broke down. They have four young children, and she nurses marines and soldiers who have come home in pieces. Her husband's job in Iraq will be to run a shock/trauma platoon to help staunch the blood of those wounded and to evacuate them.

How many more of our collective children, husbands, wives, fathers, sisters, brothers, lovers, friends are going to have to die, or be crippled (physically/psychologically) for Bush's lies??? How many more innocent Iraqis are going to find "Liberation" because of those lies????

When is this madness going to end???

25. I am a veteran...
...of the antiwar movement in the '60s, trying to stop that horrendous slaughter, and was a young white civil rights worker in Alabama in 1965, fighting for the right of black citizens to vote.

It galls me, and tears at my heart, to see us going through Vietnam again, and also to see what Republican election officials did to black voters in Ohio and Florida this year.

Please convey my sympathy and prayers to your friends! I'm very disturbed by what you have said, and I'm acutely aware of the horror that they and others are facing--as are many of the activists in this forum.

I feel that the strongest thing we can do about it is to OVERTURN THIS ELECTION, or at the least get it thoroughly investigated and the fraud exposed, and to work state by state, county by county, for, 1) a paper trail for every vote, and 2) open source code for all electronic voting.

We have effectively lost the right to vote--the fundamental right of our democracy. That is the key problem we must address. And IF we can restore our right to vote, I'm certain that we can elect a progressive, antiwar, impeachment-minded Congress in '06.

Changing the voting system is a reasonable, doable thing--but we need to act fast.

There is already overwhelming evidence of massive election fraud in '04, mainly via the Republican-owned and controlled central vote tabulation machines and other electronic voting machines. Partisan Republican companies hold the source code that controls these machines as proprietary information (NO PUBLIC REVIEW!). Weird, anomalous numbers are turning up all over the map--in about a dozen states (so far)--all favoring Bush. The odds are on the order of a million to one that this is innocent error, according to several expert studies that have been done.

Several of those studies are about the Exit Polls on the day of the election. The Exit Polls (face to face questioning of voters) showed a Kerry win, probably by a landslide. But then...some time between 4 pm and 6 pm, the TV networks began mixing the Republican-controlled electronic voting data in with the Exit Poll data--effectively hiding Kerry's big numbers in the Exit Polls--and making it appear that Bush was winning late in the day.

In the Ukraine, the difference between the Exit Polls and the tallied vote caused riots and 500,000 people in the streets to protest. Why didn't that happen here? Because the TV networks hid the Exit Poll data, and people DIDN'T KNOW.

Non-partisan Exit Polls are used worldwide to verify elections, and guard against fraud. The only time they've been inaccurate (or have seemed to be) is when Bush is running for office. (Truly!)

According to the Exit Polls (which statisticians have since been able to partially sort out from the tallied vote), Kerry very likely won this election.

Further, the Exit Poll/tallied vote difference only occurs in the states Bush needed to win, and the differentials always favor Bush (statistical impossibilities). And this is only a part of the evidence of a fraudulent election. (There are several other kinds of statistical evidence--for instance, absentee/paper ballot vs. electronic vote, with the latter weirdly favoring Bush; and impossible-sized votes for Bush in big Democratic counties--as well as grossly abusive vote suppression against Democratic and minority voters by Republican election officials in several states.)

Until this election fraud is fully exposed, and until we wrest control of our voting system away from private, partisan Republican companies, we have no hope of stopping the Iraq war or influencing policy in any way. None!

We have to restore democracy here first!

28. Thank you for your heartfelt and eloquent reply Peace. And.....
Bless you for all of your work. You are indeed a Patriot. :)

I will convey your wishes to my friends. Thank you for that too.

I am also a child of the 60s, although an iota too young to assist in the civil rights movement, I did during Vietnam raised my voice in protest and assisted in draft counseling. Although I met him years later, the love of my life was a Vietnam vet, an MP during the Tet Offensive. He was drafted, lost a possible major league baseball career, and also lost his innocence. Many of the insurmountable problems that he lived with in his all too brief life had their roots from his tour of duty there. He came back with survivor's guilt, staunchly anti-war, and in some ways I feel he was blessed to have left this planet when he did, so he wouldn't have had to see our government once again use the backs of others to do their filthy bidding. To quote Henry Kissinger, “Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.” I have two sons, one 17 and the other 14, and over my dead body they will become fodder for these Reptilians.

I personally believe that unless this election is reversed, there will be no 2008. The Bush Cartel are well on their way to molding our country into the image of Nazi Germany. A totalitarian state is quickly being put into place.

George W. Bush has no regard for human life.

I wonder if the 51% who voted for him have any regard for human life either. Where's their humanity?
