Machines count more votes than hand counts in Alabama.
Edited on Sat Dec-04-04 05:17 PM by pointsoflight
I just came across a report about the hand count of the votes for the Alabama constitutional amendment which is showing a drop of HUNDREDS of votes in several counties:

http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/mld/ledgerenquirer/news/local/10305232.htm

I still haven't seen an explanation for how this can happen. It's well known that scanning machines may miss some ballots when a hand count can discern the voter's intent. This is why a hand count quite commonly produces more votes than a machine count of the same ballots. But someone please tell me how a hand count can show FEWER votes than a machine count?

Isn't this concrete evidence of either a serious flaw in the tabulating software or tampering? Or is there some other possible explanation that I'm not seeing?

The reason I can't help wondering about this is not just because of the count in Alabama, but also because the same thing has been showing up elsewhere, including the hand count of the presidential race in those three dixiecrat counties in Florida.

4. These numbers
reflect fairly large %s of the totals!! I can't imagine what's caused this to occur. "a thousand little cuts", perhaps!

7. What about turnout audits?
I find this kind of amazing since there should be some audit of the number of ballots cast versus the tally...It just raises MORE questions.

8. Just look for the hidden agenda and see whose purpose it serves
That answers just about any question of election "irregularities"

10. In a precinct in New Hampshire, there were also 100 more
votes counted by the machines than existed in the optical-scan paper ballots.
