HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD IT TAKE TO RECOUNT OHIO BEFORE 12/13
Edited on Sat Dec-04-04 04:58 PM by scubed
I know that there have been calls for volunteers to help with the recount. My question is a logistical one: assuming you had all the people you needed, would it be possible to do the recount by 12/13?

The internet raised a lot of money for the WA governor's race and put pressure on the DNC to contribute. If it can be shown to be possible to recount, maybe it would be easier to recruit people.

Anyone involved in the recount effort know?

3. I would be willing to help out.
Where do I sign up to help? Although I would need a place to stay and food to eat

4. sign up at votecobb.com
and they are making arrangement for housing with other volutneers, from what I understand.

Also, I don't believe that the recount will take all that long, from what I've read. Like maybe a couple-few days---I think that's what I saw.

5. I donated again to Cobb site last night because they said it would be used
for funds for meals and lodging for volunteers. Maybe they are just working out the details. If they could get enough volunteers then it would be short and they would then be able to say how many days for a recount, to know how much they would need to spend on food and lodging?

It's a massive thing..doing a "statewide" recount. And, they are dealing with folks who will try to stop it in many counties. Repugs who will tell folks not to "let out a room for a couple of nights" to harrassing motels/hotels, etc. to stop the volunteers from being able to do this quickly.

I'm not sure how this all will work. Maybe they aren't even sure. But, if you volunteered hopefull they will figure it out.
