5. I saw parts of it
Edited on Sun Dec-05-04 09:56 AM by SueZhope
I was turning on the TV changing the station then saw
protest signs from Ohio , then Jackson on CNN (thought I was seeing things)

He was telling the host all the
problems. The host asked if Jackson excepts that bush won Ohio....
he said well no..we need every vote counted an and a full investigation

The statement they showed from Blackwell was most telling.
He said something like its a bipartisan effort and that Jackson is upset because his candidate lost.........

9. Ohio had suppression by Newspapers as well as Election Officials
Editorial mistreatment by Ohio Newspapers such as Cincinati Post that called Jackson's accusations "ugly" and "unjustified". Even though Jackson was quoting the following fully documented analyses that large numbers of minorities were systematically suppressed from voting or having their votes counted in Ohio.

JJ said that a certification would "never take one month and 4 days in the Ukraine".

7. Blackwell's arrogance is unbelievable.
He must be cockyand smug for a good reason; he feels safe and protected.....and we know by who.

I think Al Sharpton needs to have a debate/conference with Blackwell. I don't see Jesse holding up well against him........

8. Is Al Sharpton involved? Your post mentions him.
If not, perhaps we should all ask that the become involved. I agree that his voice would be a big help to us.

11. Take action: Encourage them to continue their coverage!
Their coverage is still lacking, but it's the most we've seen from the MSM outside of Olbermann's show. Encourage them to keep reporting on the issue! I think it'd be effective to different people send letters with different perspectives on the voting issues. Here are some possibilities I'd suggest:

1. Tell them about a problem *you* experienced, that it's troubling to you that so many others apparently had problems too, and that you like to hear more about these problems.

OR

2. Let them know that you found their report interesting, that you were surprised to hear that so many problems have been reported since you haven't heard about much in the mdia, and that you want to hear more about these problems.

OR

3. Thank them for their coverage, convey how important you think this issue is for our democracy, and point out some of the issues they didn't include that you think viewers would find interesting--like the evidence of suppression in Ohio:
