I was over there when they first created it. They did an incredible job with it.

On November 3rd, I did a Google Search on 2004 election fraud. I found nothing although I knew by the early morning hours, that it had been a fraud. Many of us who lived through 2000 here in Florida knew something was going to happen. Not that we weren't hopeful however.. So, on that early morning I searched for 2004 election fraud. There was nothing listed. Tonight I did the same Google search. Almost 2.5 million hits. Pretty amazing...

That's why we cannot let this just go away and "disappear" into the history book as there having been "some minor irregularities in 2004" Minor irregularities? Massive Fraud is more like it...

....for the 2004 general election it seems obvious that we should not merely be relinquishing this election merely to several generations of graduate student dissertations.

11. Scary list of complaints...

Very cool site...this is just a few from areas in Texas. Ok, soooo, was the number 2 pencil needed because it was supposed to eventually be read by a machine/scanner? And if so, can a machine that reads number 2's actually read a black marker or are they hand counted?


This is from Dallas County, TX complaint list

Caller said that he was given a "fill-in" type ballot that at the top of the ballot itself to use a #2 pencil. The election officials did not have any pencils and gave him and everyone in the polling place a black magic marker.

From Collin County, TX:

I worked at a polling place in Collin Country, Texas, Precint 2 and 98 yesterday. The judge hired his wife and son to assist and didn't seem to want her son to leave the room with the Diebold machines. They especially didn't want me in there alone. The wife tried to get me to leave when we were balancing. Well, the machine count showed a greater number of votes than the signatures. The signatures included both machine and provisional, so there should have been more signatures than the machine count. The machines appear to give invalid results.

Tarrant County:

Complaint by paid county poll worker at polling place - Keller City, TX. Other poll workers violating polling laws by standing inside of the electronic voting machine viewing the screen with voters who just asked for assistance with how to use the new voting machines. Complainant reports that a report was made and an outside poll worker (headquarters person) was called in and confirmed that these actions were infractions. While the outside poll worker was there, the 'old time' poll workers complied with the proper requirements re: standing at the voting booth watching the vote, but after she left they continued their violations. Sherry Shelton is the lead poll worker at the polling site and essentially encouraged the violations. In addition, Complainant reported that poll workers made what she believed were racist comments, one was Beth McGowan - she made a comment about blacks taking over a nearby mall and that before we know it, the ballots will be in Vietnamese. Complainant was offended. She's willing to provide additional information

Tarrant County:

Went to polls- told had already voted because signed it. Showed id with signature not matching - they said someone must have come in with your id and voted - gave him a provisional ballot.

The form just said fill in "black." Everyone got the same ballot. Punch machines were present, but they had the machines folded down and used as tables.

14. I have to wonder about user-visible glitches.

They may be a decoy. If you really wanted to hack things,
why would you let the user see things going screwey on the screen.

Either:

1) they are a diversion from the counties where the majority of the hacking went on

or

2) They figured by making a system where there was a reason to believe "user error" favored Bush by accident of design, they would provide themselves plausible deniability, and the user error reports help them by providing evidence that it was simply a design mistake.

In either case, there is a crapload of stuff to be done with the EIRS data, so if anyone doesn't have a project, we can start coordinating. I know from a project I'm helping out with that some people working on Ohio and New Mexico have an "EIRS" person, so we should coordinate with them as well.

Ok...interesting that all the bright orange and red spots on the TX map are in the dem friendly urban areas and the counties that went blue <Travis, El Paso> or that went purple <Dallas County>---all areas that posed a threat to shrub/repukes in TX.



De Zevado Community Center, Houston, Harris County, Texas:
When voter found she was not registered in this precinct where she knew that she had registered, precinct judge discouraged her from casting a provisional ballot. Only after speaking with the her were we able to get the provisional ballot. Precinct judge said that since the provisional ballots would take 10 days to be confirmed, it was not worth casting such a ballot in an aelection that would be decided/counted by tomorrow


Caller went to vote on Monday, and they did not allow her to fill out the entire ballot. They told her to just write her party and the machine would fill out the rest for her. She waited outside the polling place and asked voters as they were leaving what instructions they received. Apparently white voters were allowed to fill out the whole ballot and black voters were told the machine would fill out the rest of the ballot for them. Killeen is in NE Bell County. Near Fort Hood Military Reserve. Next to Belton and Temple. Surrounding Counties are Falls, Coryell, McLennan, Williamson, Milam. 17 Miles from Waco, 37 Miles to Austin.


Killeen Community Center, Killeen, Bell County, Texas Voted early (last monday). At the center she was given a ballot, told to redraw line, connect arrows, fill in partly, and that the official would do the rest (paper ballot). She thinks her ballot was never counted. She's asked other black voters and they reported the same phenomenon. She said the white voters were allowed to vote normally. Called last week (a 202 number?) but nobody called her back. Says it's "Bush country" and this happens to people who vote Democrat

It's a really fantastic map-- interactive and all. You can click on your state/county/precinct and query on type of incident.

They've done a great job.

I have emailed them incidents that they were not aware of, so if anyone has documented evidence of voter fraud that is not included, do email them about it. They'll add it to their database.

18. Any takers? Stuff that would be interesting to know

1) The first thing that will get thrown at any statistics taken from EIRS is the fact that it is a self-selected group. "Democrats just complain more" will be the line. So we need a baseline. We need to find some sort of common report that will often mention the offending party, and see how eighted the data in EIRS really is towards Democrats.

For example, if someone were to filter for all reports that have the word "feet" in them, one might get a random sampling of anyone complaining that campaigners were too close to the polls. The people filing the report may have indicated what party the offenders were with. If that breaks out to an even number of Dems and Reps, we have our baseline. If not, we know how much to weight any statistics we pull.

2) Last I knew, Madsen is looking for incidents where lockdowns occured. Mining for that would be good, if he still needs this data. I already found two "fires" just by looking at Michael Moore's Texas database. (I posted them in the Madsen thread in Voting Issues.)

3) There were a few reports I saw about power outages. It would be nice to know how many of these there were and where they took place.

4) We know about long lines in Ohio, what about other states...?

Anyone have anything to add? Mining this stuff is tedious, but it gets results.
