Dean DC Speech 2 hours after Conyers Hearing starts
Edited on Mon Dec-06-04 01:19 PM by Ojai Person
????????????

Dear XXXXX,

Governor Dean will lay out a vision for the future of the Democratic Party this Wednesday at 12 p.m. Eastern in Washington, D.C.

He will outline not just a direction for our party, but a concrete destination: a party built from the ground up.

That means a party powered by millions of small donors, not millionaires. It means a party that speaks plainly and commits to concrete outcomes that affect real people. And it means a party that competes in every single race, for every single vote, in all fifty states.

You can watch live video of the speech on Wednesday morning at the Democracy for America web site:

www.democracyforamerica.com

Be sure to join us for the live webcast on Wednesday at 12 p.m. Eastern. Thank you.

Thank you,

Tom McMahon
Executive Director
Democracy for America

P.S. -- Since I last wrote to you, about the need to protect every vote in the Washington Governor's race, over 15,000 small donations poured in to put the Washington Democratic Party over the top -- they raised enough money to pay for a full hand count and ensure that every vote counts.

Democratic candidate Christine Gregoire's campaign manager wrote a personal thank-you to the Democracy for America community. Read his letter and all the latest news at the blog: www.blogforamerica.com

5. I have a feeling that this week will go down in history. The democratic
party was down for, mark it, 5 weeks, before it exploded it's counter-offense. Now I am not a democrat, but I hope my prediction is true... Took the repukes 2 decades, the Dems 5 weeks. Hopedully.

6. You guys are eternal optimists LOL
It sounds to me like they are finally hearing our frustration at the Democrats not doing anything. I doubt if it has to do with the Madsen stuff, though. Wouldn't they need to vet it more? I think they are still in top-down, speeches and congressional meeting mode. At least with Dean speaking, there is a ray of hope.

I want to be in a monthly e-meeting with my "local" democrats where we get 2 way communication. I want a multi-prong attack on potential voter fraud starting with 2004 (NOT 2006). Heck, I want results.

trudyco

Oh yeah - and I want a nice liberal media for a change

10. please say "election fraud", not "voter fraud"
The latter is the Rove term, and it implies that the voters (mainly democrats in the real world) are the ones committing fraud.

23. Read tonight that Dean is the FRONT RUNNER for chair!
I just love this guy. Didn't support him in the primaries, was still making up my mind when the MSM decided to sink his chances by replaying the "scream" until the entire population wanted to scream itself.

He was credited, rightfully so, for waking up the Demoratic party during this last election. First to be anti-war, first to speak up loudly to power, first to use the Internet as a fundraising tool successfully.

I think he will be GREAT for the DNC. I just hope the members don't have their own agenda and expect him to NOT be Howard Dean.

14. How awesome would it be
Edited on Mon Dec-06-04 08:58 PM by Broken Acorn
if Dean comes out and puts the Smackdown on the Sh*t WH. I mean, he says something like: "I am now the leader of the DNC and we have strong evidence of Election Fraud by the Republican Party".

And then goes crazy on them with all this evidence. It would be genius 1) if they do have concrete evidence and broadcast it all over the MSM 2) it takes the heat off Kerry 3) Dean love this shit...he is a fighter and won't back down to anyone.

Wow, what a great Wednesday it would be. And it would follow Kerry's prediction of making History! Edit: This is also the day Cliff Arneck (sp) is suppose to file the challenge in Ohio according to KO. Something big is happening.

(Note: We can all dream, can't we? :) )

16. GO Dean!
"Dean loves this shit...he is a fighter"

Yes, indeed! That's our next DNC chair--taking the bull by the horns.

I was wondering why I hadn't heard anything tonight about the lawsuit being filed (thought it would be today--have been waiting for it since I saw Cliff's excellent interview on C-SPAN). Do you think they are trying to align everything for maximum exposure --boom boom boom --in a row? NO WAY the MSM could not cover it....

19. Dean is a man of action...
and ideas. He is such a strong presence in the Democratic party that he should be the new head of the DNC.

There is nobody better!

His influence is growing and it's obvious he's not going quietly into that good night.

20. PLEASE let the annoucement be that Dean will be DNC Chair.
You guys, we are having a HUGE fight here locally. Our Kerry group wants to remain active. I want us to remain active, AND want us to merge with the DFA group. We have the same ideals and the same goals and we're going to be doing a lot of the same things and duplicating efforts if we don't merge. Yet, some people are against it... there is a perception that Dean is "not mainstream enough." Arrrrrgh! I wasn't even a Deaniac and this pisses me off..... WTF do his positions, primary run, etc have to do with his ability to ORGANIZE?! It's just pissy turf wars.

And if DEAN becomes the DNC chair, then all of those, "He's not mainstream enough" people would have to just STFU!!!!

It would be SO BEAUTIFUL!
