I want to see someone go to jail over all this crap with the election.
I call for someone to go to jail over all this crap with this election.
What in the world does it take to have a fair and balanced election in America?
Why does the media keep this important news form the people. People are talking and the talking is getting louder. We need to stand up like the people in Ukraine, and let these thugs know that they are not going to get away with it. The people didn't vote for a liar, cheat, thug, criminal, the people voted for a man with integrity, and humanity, and that is who we want inaugurated come November.

8. Here's what has to happen
We have to make sure that our legislators and our judges take our votes and our elections as seriously as we do. Currently, they don't.

Currently, it's okay to have errors and not really too awful to hve fraud. We need to make them understand that OUR VOTE IS SACRED and we expect there to be SERIOUS laws with SERIOUS consequences and without loopholes, for vote suppression and vote fraud. We need to make sure the Supreme COurt understands that every citizen in this country absolutely DOES have a right to vote and to have it be counted.

A Right to Vote Constitutional Amendment would go a long way in doing that, IMO, and then a LOT of action at the state level is also required to make sure our state laws work for The People, not the powerful.

11. SALON: "...no evidence to support Palast's claim that Kerry won Ohio."
First TheNation and now SALON

It's getting about time to wrap up this issue and start planning for what counts - the next election

http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/111804I.shtml

I do not disagree with Palast's more general thesis that the American electoral system is deeply flawed. Even if there aren't enough uncounted votes in Ohio to overturn the election, it's disgraceful that 93,000 votes in the state will go uncounted. Just as troubling is that many voters in Ohio - mainly concentrated in low-income, Democratic areas - were forced to wait in long lines just to cast their votes. These problems must be addressed, and Salon will continue to press for reforms.

But a broken system doesn't mean the fix is in. At this point, there is simply no evidence to support Palast's claim that Kerry won Ohio.

I'm not charging like Greg P does. And since when is TheNation and Salon not good enough a source for "progressives"? In my opinion, progressives have an obligation to be smart AND right.

12. I hear you!
Received the following in an e-mail and it made me feel a little better:

A Christmas greeting to my Republican friends

The election is over, the results are known,
The will of the people has clearly been shown.
Let's forget the quarrels and show by our deeds,
We will give our leader all the help that he needs.
So let's all get together, and let the bitterness pass,
I'll hug your elephant and you kiss my ass

13. I'm leaning towards tar and feathers...
might just be the Luddite in me but a good 'ol fashion public tar and feather party might do wonders to draw this nation together and start healing its wounds. I'm dreaming of pitchforks and torches lately, most curious.
