Call Blackwell (Toll Free), Ask Him to Answer Conyer's Letter....
At the very least, we should expect a public servant in Ohio like J. Kenneth Blackwell to answer mail from members of the Judiciary Committe of the US House of Representatives. He's shot his wad as expected by certifying Bush, so now he can deal with us.

Mailing Address:
J. Kenneth Blackwell
Ohio Secretary of State
180 E. Broad St. 16th Floor
Columbus, OH 43215

General Telephone Number (Toll Free): 1-877-767-6446

3. I Spoke to a Media Person (not Blackwell)...
The feedback I got is the following:

1. Blackwell has not, and as far as we know, does not intend to reply in writing to Conyer's letter.

2. Blackwell does not, as far as we know, intend to comply with Conyer's request to meet with the Judiciary Committee Dems.

4. i knew it
I can't believe that he can get away with this.

Can't they make him.

why don't we push a republican to join this committee, who else is on that committee that we can put some pressure on.

I am so sick of these people in office being partison on every last issue, don't they have any conscious?

And Bush has achieved his trifecta: he has stolen control over all 3 branches of our government.

committee I believe. I don't think they are going to be real supportive until public pressure demands it.

21. I Say Hit Feeney the Hardest !!
BTW, "Teeny Weinie" Touchy Feely has not even responded to Curtis's affadavit, which could mean:

1. He is innocent, and arrogant
2. He is guilty, and arrogant
3. He in incompetent, doesn't bother to "answer his mail"

24. Didn't Will Pitt say that he doubted that Blackwell would show?
I don't remember the thread (might have been the one where he told about having dinner with Hartman). Anyway, I asked him whether Blackwell would show, and he said he doubted it. He is still excited about the hearing, though, so maybe Blackwell isn't necessary.

BTW...love the idea of calling "toll free"...made me laugh! Am off to call.

How can HE ignore what's happening right in his front yard????

Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 05:44 PM by KaliTracy
send the letter to media sources -- asking why they haven't reported on it yet, etc. Probably won't work, but we can try. I know that today on Talk of the Nation some people had no clue what was happening in other states.... if it's not reported it doesn't exist (I know, I know.... that's been said before). But -- it's important to keep trying.

I know -- Print it out and send it to Blackwell certified mail and ask him in your letter why he is avoiding his Public Service duties, and CC someone maybe (Vonavich??) ....Say something like the People want and deserve answers to these questions since he oversees this whole election process in Ohio. Keep it short, consise and anti-inflamitory!

He has nothing to gain and everything to lose by responding to the non-hearing hearing.

Unless they can get subpoena power, we may be SOL at getting Blackwell's participation.
