3. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Who said that?
So they really did try to kill him? Yes, power, corrupt power.

6. Whoa! Unfreaking believable!
This paragraph is something else:

"Mr Yanukovych’s supporters ridiculed the opposition, saying the illness was probably caused by bad sushi, too much cognac or a severe case of herpes. A parliamentary investigation found no evidence of poisoning."

Doesn't it sound like Rove was their political advisor? He's great with the ridicule, him, Lynne Cheney and Karen Huge.

9. But that would NEVER happen here. Nope. So stop saying that!
What troubles me deeply when I hear things like this, is that the United States and its citizens claim to be immune to such funny business and shady background dealings. They feel that Watergate was an isolated incident. Even though, for example, Democratic leaders were sent anthrax.

We have many freedoms here, and are very lucky--but people are people everywhere. :scared:

I'm so sorry for Mr. Yushenko. You shouldn't have to be poisoned because you are in the opposition party.
