American Democracy : Our Finest Hour
These are momentous days we are living through.
Historians will go nuts writing about these times.

And yet, most Americans are not even aware of just what is at stake.

4. Agree & here is the 'non cryptic' message I sent to...
....Nancy Price at 'The Alliance for Democracy' and a few others, yesterday evening.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
7 December 2004

In a few hours, a transition of awareness will occur throughout our Nation and the world.

Suddenly, an exchange of thoughts, facts, analyses, activism and considerable passion shared among a few of our fellow citizens will become a topic with large-scale public awareness.

When NBC and MSNBC indicated they would be covering Rep Conyers' "forum" it's obvious that those who watch c-span and pacifica radio are going to be joined by many, many more of their fellow citizens as well as a world-wide audience. I doubt that by tomorrow at 10am EST, CNN and the other broadcast networks will fail to appear at the Rayburn building.

What they will all learn is that our Nation faces a massive Constitutional crisis and that 'horse isn't going back into the barn.'

Not since Jefferson Davis gave his good-bye speech to the US Senate has this Nation faced what it will confront tomorrow.

I hope Senator Kerry and Senator Edwards have been preparing since long before 2 Nov 2004 for what will now unwind.

I hope many others have been preparing themselves for the roles they will have to contribute to the saving of our franchise of democracy.

As the editors, W. Leon Smith and Don M. Fisher, of the Lone Star Iconoclast stated as well as it will ever need to be:

"The time is now to draw a line in the sand -- to give not one inch, one millimeter, one vote toward the cause of skewing this election. This recount, no matter the outcome, conducted properly, is a necessity for democracy to prevail. Without it, America can never trust another election."

We are at war, a war declared by President Bush, and we have witnessed a major attack on the cornerstone of our Constitutional rights as citizens by members of President Bush's party, perhaps with the knowledge of the President.

That same Constitution has cold, harsh comment on any effort to undermine our Nation during a war. Mr Bush and his colleagues face serious consequences if we the people act on our responsibilities to that Constitution, draw that line in the sand, and budge not one inch until the systematic disenfranchisement of our fellow citizens is remedied.

We have but hours before our Nation and the world is brought to full attention to the Constitutional crisis of 2 Nov 2004.

I'm prepared to do whatever is required to restore and protect our Constitution.

Peace.

21. Thank you and I've just fax'd the contents of...
....the message with additional comments to Senator Kerry. Here is what I wrote to the Senator:

Honorable Senator John F. Kerry
US Senate
BY FAX: 202.224-8525 & 617.248-3870

8 December 2004

Dear Senator Kerry,

I am enclosing a message I sent to a few close allies in our effort to prevent the American franchise of Democracy from being destroyed; the fate it now faces if you do not act.

Senator Kerry, as a continuation of the analogy in my correspondence to you of 30 November 2004, the bull-pen is not where you belong. It has been quite appropriate for you to have been in that bull-pen, warming up for the past 5 weeks, but we are in the bottom of ninth inning, the bases are loaded and if you don’t come into the game and out the next batter, it’s over.

I waited to send this to you until the historic Conyers’ “forum” completed:

(contents of the post, above)

Senator Kerry we need you to lead all of us as we fight to save our Democracy. If you don’t we may still succeed but the task will be all the much harder. But, the battle is now, not sometime in the future.

In your service,
xxxxxx

Peace.

31. Thank you; and, just sent a copy to Mr Olbermann with the....
....following cover message:

Good evening Mr Olbermann,

I am forwarding this correspondence to you, as is.

Your 'blog' about the hearings is interesting but I think you and many others are not yet reporting to our fellow citizens the severity of the crisis. We are at war, Mr. Olbermann. A war in Iraq, as totally unjust and unjustified as Vietnam, but still a war declared by Mr Bush.

Our Constitution is rather explicit about acts that even attempt to undermine our Government during time of war. What has been done to the electoral process in 2004, already documented, is as severe an act of undermining our Government as any could be -- a systematic denial of citizens' choosing that Government.

You are outstanding, and largely alone, among those whose responsibility it is to bring the truth about our Government to full exposition for the elucidation of the citizens of our franchise. But, as I mention in the correspondence below, the horse left the barn today and it is not going back in. You and your management team need to begin planning on how you are either going to be a significant partner in saving our American franchise of Democracy or a bit player in chronicling its demise.

I hope you will be truly courageous and I hope those concerned with the economic success of your organization will realize that only one broadcaster is required in a totalitarian state and fox news has got you beat, hands down, for that assignment.

Peace.

supreme court, many governships and state legislatures, courts ect. Brave Rep Conyers did not even have supoena power because it wasn't a hearing (no repugs) but a forum.

25. What exactly does this mean?
As far as getting the word out? People in my AP government class call me a lunatic because i refuse to accept the election results, simply because they have heard nothing of this fraud.

27. It means that you may want to invite...
...your classmates to sit and watch:

http://www.cspan.org/Search/basic.asp?BasicQueryText=Vo...

Click first match: House Forum on Ohio Election Voting Procedures.

And, then you can each discuss what you will do to help preserve your franchise of democracy; what you will do to defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Because, you certainly understand, what it all means is that the people determine their government in a democracy and when the people decline their responsibility they awake to a totalitarian state.

Peace.

8. It may be because I've had so little sleep TIA,
But your post has set off a bit of emotion for me.

Always, when big days like this occur, I remember people close to me who have gone before, and how we shared important days when they were alive.

Thank you for framing the day, thank you for being so good with numbers! It amazes me, because I spent six seasons of my childhood in Summer school and I still look at mathematics in the same way a caveman might have first looked at fire.

You've been tireless, and we are happy for that.

15. The BEST Holiday gift this country could get
would be seeing the criminals brought to justice.
They have severely abused the people of the
world and this country and they need to PAY
for their crimes. Karl Rove should be in prison
along with the entire BFEE and their corporate
thugs. They should all be made to publicly
apologize the rest of their miserable lives.
Oh, and the media whores too.

Most people had no clue what had happened.

Hopefully, the fraud situation will be so blatent and obvious that the MSM will fulfill it's consitutional duty to actually inform the electorate, as opposed to being a propaganda organ.

The recent exchange between Rep. Jackson and some of the lawyers was critical. I cannot believe that more people are concerned with same gender marriage than the right to vote. God help us if its true.

This is amazing and unbelievable! The lid has now officially blown. The MSM can't ignore this now. The story about the man who left the hospital with an IV in his arm so he could vote because he couldn't get an absentee ballot brought tears to my eyes. John Kerry WILL be inaugurated in January!

33. Momentous days indeed.
I protested Vietnam and petitioned and gave speeches to get the 18 year old vote; I even hired an ACLU lawyer to force my high school to abide by the state supreme court ruling concerning dress codes in school and then I went to sleep.

3 days into the Iraq war I had an epiphany and realized how brainwashed I was and how I had tortured my psyche into a republican mindset.....what a shock to wake up and throw off years of having drifted along in shark infested waters. I don't have the energy I had at 18 but I still have the passion and fight and I'm glad to be back in my right (or should I say left and liberal) mind.

Thanks to everyone at D.U. for helping me be informed and giving me an outlet to help the fight. I'm not able to leave home and job and go to Ohio but I sure can write letters to the editor, letters to representatives and donate money. I spread the word as far and wide as I can.

These times remind me of the Vietnam era and then some....this fight is the most important of my lifetime.
