IDEAS.. A comment from the hearing stood out to me.
If I heard the committee today correctly they attempted to communicate the absolute necessity for us to:

1.) Remain vocal and energetic
2.) Express our views regarding the situation in Ohio and the election system in general to the "other" members of the government who have chosen to ignore or dismiss the issue.
3.) Continue to gather FACTS regarding irregularities.
4.) Encourage the media to cover the facts of the situation, in hopes to at the very least embarrass those ignoring the issue to become involved.

What if….

Since the MSM is not covering the situation as strongly as they reasonably should be, my proposal is for "us" to compose a press release type synopsis of the irregularities, the response by our government (The Conyers’ Forum with refusals of the republican members to attend), the coverage or the Ukraine Election irregularities by MSM vs. their coverage of our irregularities.

We could then swamp the foreign press sources with this "press release" asking for help. I find it hard to fathom how our MSM and those republicans dismissing this issue could rationalize the world becoming our watchdog while they sleep.

This might just be what the committee meant when "mentioning" the possibility of embarrassing the sleeping majority party into action.

Ideas?

13. Pushing Republicans is important
I don't think this can fly as a partisan issue. But there's no good reason that it can't become a strongly non-partisan grass roots movement if we stay on message (basically, "it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game"--cheaters need to be caught and held accountable, period).

34. We need to have a list of attendees for yesterdays hearing...
We need to compose a list of all attendees at Conyers meeting and a list of all who attended the "Intelligence Reform Bill" yesterday. Note... they conveniently were simultaneous and some could only be at one place at the same time. That would not excuse anyone though, as they always have the option to send a proxy to Conyers meetings (in case of a conflict).

short, sweet, and to the point. Only stress what can be already proved - only after that can we get others interested in all of the 'abnormalities' in this election. If we ramble on like some of todays public at the Conyers hearing we will not be taken seriously.

10. Potential media coverage angle
This is Mitofsky International's letter declining Conyers's invitation to the hearing and request to release the exit poll raw data.

He claims the data is "proprietary," and cannot be made public, which makes sense as per the usual confidentiality agreements in these contracts such as this one.

But, were Conyers to get a judge to subpoena the data, then Mitofsky would not be bound by non-disclosure agreements, would he?

Also, note that Mitofsky's telephone number has been whited out at the top right hand section of the page, plus, he didn't sign the letter himself, it was signed for him by someone who initialled by the signature.

18. Here is the rough draft PLEASE feel free to edit it, I would
appreciate your help. I am really to angry to be writing..

Dear Friend,

This is awkward but we need to ask for your help. Many of us are frustrated and coming up short on getting the “free press” in our country to cover the travesty that is being called a fair election in our country (some wonder if they have been silenced). No, we am not from the Ukraine, the Ukraine’s election irregularities receive ample coverage here, we are citizens of the United States of America. The 2004 election was contaminated.

The situation we now find ourselves in is one where the Democratic Head of the Judiciary Committee has formed a group with other congressmen to objectively examine the irregularities the citizens of the nation have communicated to them. Representative Conyers is a brave man as are his colleagues. Today they held a forum “ Judiciary Democratic Forum Preserving Democracy - What Went Wrong in Ohio” in Washington DC. Many statements were gathered regarding: Voter intimidation, Exit Polls vs. Actual Vote Numbers, (Same thing our administration had such a fit over in Ukraine), Citizens being disenfranchised through allocation of polling machines, Faulty election machines and areas where Election observers and the press were locked out from being able to view the counting due to claims, later proved untrue, that the FBI and Homeland Security had declared the area a high risk. These are a few of the statements, there are MANY more.

We are saddened to say that not one Republican committee member joined the process to listen to the people’s voices although Representative Conyers invited them.
We are saddened to say that not one Main Stream Media Station covered this forum, and thankful to CSPAN for doing so.

The recount in Ohio will begin soon and many experts feel that there is a real chance for the final total to show that the wrong man conceded. The committee formed by Representative Conyers have promised to go to Ohio and hold hearings however, without the Republicans joining the effort it will hold a questionable amount of weight and without the media covering it, the Republicans can relax and ignore the whole situation. This situation is dangerous, not only in respects to this election’s outcome but also in respects to all future elections in our country….. therefore our plea to your journalists.

We need your help to look at the story and use your free press to speak for us while our press sleeps.
We need your help to look at the story and use your free press to ask why it is that the administration of the United States can be abhorred by the election process in the Ukraine yet accepting of a very similar set of irregularities in the United States.

We need your help if you can find it within yourselves to give. If you have any questions or need for information I will be glad to help.

Sincerely,

The recount in Ohio will begin soon and many INVESTIGATORs feel that there is a real chance for the final total to show that the wrong man conceded. IN ADDITION, ELECTION FRAUD IS SUSPECTED, AND EVIDENCE FOR THIS FRAUD WILL BE PART OF THE LITIGATION THAT IS BEING FILED IN OHIO. The committee formed by Representative Conyers have promised to go to Ohio and hold hearings however, without the Republicans joining the effort THE PERCEIVED LEGITIMACY OF THE HEARINGS WILL BE WEAKENED. Without the MAINSTREAM media covering it, IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO FORCE the Republicans TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO THIS PROCESS. THEN THEY (REPUBLICANS) AND MUCH OF THE PUBLIC WILL ignore the whole situation. This situation is dangerous, not only WITH RESPECT TO THE INTEGRITY AND VALIDITY to thE RESULTS OF THIS election, but also to all future elections in our country. OUR DEMOCRACY IS IN CRISIS... therefore our plea to your journalists.

We need your help to look at AND RESEARCH the story and use your free press to speak for us while our press sleeps.
FURTHER, We need your help to use your free press to ask why it is that thIS CURRENT administration IN the United States can FIND the election process in the Ukraine abhorANT, yet CHOSES TO IGNORE POTENTIALLY WIDESPREAD ELECTION irregularities in the United States.

We need your help if you can find it within yourselves to give. If you have any questions or need for information I (WE?) will be glad to help.

Some names I think of are Jesse Jackson, William Pitt, Greg Palast,
Michael Rectenwald (he's the one that let loose on Scarborough Country last nite), others? Or should we go it alone? I like the idea of signing on different members under "we, the undersigned denizens of the United States", but can't drag this out too long.

35. Great Idea... who would be the "From" on the Press Release?
Could we do this with some type of online petition or what group would be the one to issue the Press Release? The Press Release to go to all U.S. Reprentatives and a carefully selected international press release.

You could send the Press Release to U.S. and International Media (hoping for more immediate response from International media) and then just wait and see how long it would take for the U.S. media to join the band wagon and report.

41. I guess

the foreign press just print what's in the U.S. media, because they have their correspondents in the US and they are just informed through TV and press.

So it's a devilish cirle...

At least that's my experience concerning the german speaking press.

A letter how you suggest would be very fine...

They have to recognize that there is an unpolitical opposition of the US-people, like in Ukraine...
