Curtis on AirAmericaRadio
Edited on Wed Dec-08-04 05:27 PM by BlueDog2u
Understandinglife posted this to another thread, but I thought it deserved a thread of its own.

Here is the link to the show: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=203&topic_id=124885&mesg_id=129825&page=

You know what to do.

I'd like to know what other people think about this. For my part, it was nice to hear from Curtis himself, and to me he still seems credible. Any other opinions?

10. thanks. I listened. He sounds credible to me. I like to see someone's
body language when they speak, though. Is anyone taking this guy seriously yet??????? Congressman Wexler of Florida is supposed to be taking all info on irregularities in Fl according to what was said at the hearing today. But geeze....where the fuck is the FBI!!!?? Excuse my language! The same place they are for Fisher?

14. great to hear him
Like others have said he sounded extremely credible in his words and tone.

I can't imagine he would just come out and make all this up
as a disinformation campaign...I think that would be hard to pull
of once people started looking deeper.

I guess its going to take some time to investigate the situation.
Maybe one day we shall no the truth about it.

2. It's interesting that no one he's named has come out and refuted it
they haven't even bothered. Seems like Feeney would scream his head off for slander/libel if there wasn't something there.

Wish his first name wasn't Clinton, somehow the Rethugs will use that.

6. I listened.
He sounded down-to-earth credible. Cordial, relaxed, responsive, open and able to answer questions posed. Kinda like a person who is speaking the truth (!)

7. Yes, I agree
Its important to hear a person's voice before you pass judgement.

He sounded highly credible. I contrast this to the folks who were laughing last night and making jobkes because it was reported that his dog was killed. He doesn't sound at all like the kind of person who would lie about something like that to get people stirred up. He sounds totally level and believable -- which means that if someone did kill his dog, he's really on to something and we should be supporting him, at least to the extent of giving him the benefit of the doubt and helping him to get a hearing.

9. And I agree with you.
Though hopeful about the Curtis information, I have waited to get overly excited.

I was very pleased to hear him. He sounds credible to me by his demeanor.

(Sorry to say, but there is another 'player' in the FLA fraud claims that presents himself like a crackpot to me. Not saying that his assertions necessarily are wrong, but he comes off like a kook.)

Clinton Curtis presents himself as credible and level-headed. He has enough background that has seemingly passed muster, also.

12. I'm listening now.
It's nice to actually get to hear what Curtis sounds like. I can say he doesn't sound like a nut job.

I learned Curtis... when all this was going on with Feeney was himself a Republican. As of this date Curtis is no longer a Republican.

End of interview with Curtis:
Co-host Rachel Maddow said he seems credible. Co-host Lizz Winstead said her gut tells her this deserves to be looked into. Both have said this, but I'm not 100% sure which said which...

"I've been Feeneyized." Makes sense to me. He was an honest Republican. Feeney and BuschCo apparently made the mistake of thinking that all Republicans are as much sleezeballs as they are. Apparently that's still not true, yet.....

19. I met Curtis as well as the Music Rep Who is working with him
Edited on Thu Dec-09-04 07:58 AM by GetTheRightVote
They were at the hearing today and I spoke with them afterwards concerning their research. Yes, Curtis does seem very real which is nice for once. I believe he is the real deal. He also told me that the guy to speak with who probably knows the most info on the deal that was made would be Mike Connelly. This man was in real deep when it came to the plans. It all sounds very interesting but Curtis did not know if the FBI had spoken to Mike yet but he is hopeful that they will.

Also, I met Jeff Fisher, he does sound a little strange but alot of people were speaking to him as well so I am not so sure about him at all ?? He spoke in front of the whole hearing, in fact, he was the last to be heard in the line of questioners.

21. Was Curtis Credible?
I'm not sure. He sounded very reasonable, but seemed strangely relaxed for someone whose dog had just been shot dead--upsetting enough in itself--and on top of that he was, at the time of the interview, surely afraid for his own life.

It's very hard to judge someone's honesty by his voice or even his appearance. That is not to say that I don't believe he was telling the truth. I simply don't know.

22. Sure, he seemed very credible, but
it's not really a smoking gun...yet.

To continue that analogy, he built a gun, but there is no evidence that the gun was delivered to Feeney or that it was used in the election. Hopefully someone in gov't will grow some cahones and do a real investigation into this.
