Exit polls in Venezuela showed guy who won losing: Audit verified vote
exit polls were wrong and Chavez survived the recall in an election negotiated and run by Jimmy Carter. But the losing side got to look at the software and spotcheck various precincts around the country which proved no fraud. What is the GOP so afraid of? We let them audit Venezuela, they should let us audit here in the USA.

1. Unless there is a PRINTED record of every vote made at the time...
audits are useless. Totally useless.

2. They had a printed record
that's what saved the day.

They used touchscreen machines that printed a voter verified paper ballot. These ballots were used to audit the machine count. The audit silenced the losing side.
