SF Chronicle: 'Election fraud or suspicions?' - Great Article!
Finally, the Blue Coast is speaking out.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/12/09/EDGSVA88P51.DTL

But they were shared with -- and believed by -- campaign officials and by the candidates themselves, and they were widely reported over the Internet. As we now know, on the basis of these exit polls, Kerry was expected to win.

Then the "actual" tallies began to pour in.

This was the "November surprise."

Please read the whole article.

1. And so why is America doing NOTHING?
Great paragraph from the article:
"If this were an election taking place in a Third
World dictatorship, or a former part of the
Soviet Union (Georgia and Ukraine, for recent
examples) people would be in the streets
screaming "fraud" and demanding the
president's resignation."

Excellent commentary-
and does bring to mind the question,
why aren't Americans screaming fraud?
Why are we apparently the only people
who are outraged?

2. The West Coast needs to start this trend
People out here hate *co and are very vocal about it. If more newspapers from out West pick up the coverage, then Jesusland can't ignore it forever.

Check out the last line of the article:

"Suspicions of election fraud undermine the very foundation of our democracy and need to be addressed."

3. Well, there are several papers that speak out
but the forces of repression seem to be growing
against them. There has been a SERIOUS infiltration
of the fundies in all of our public institutions.
School boards, public office etc...the fascists knew
the west coast was going to be a problem and they
started the power grab years ago in anticipation.

Even our Pacifica radio station (KPFK) has been under siege for years.
For example, not a PEEP about the
Conyers panel yesterday- not a peep about election fraud
anywhere acutally. I am waiting for the new
LA weekly to come out today to see if there is anything
in there about it, but honestly, the fundies seem to have
infiltrated EVERYTHING media here.

24. need for sustained media coverage of vote fraud
interesting note in Baltimore Sun article today about voters made to leave polls at midnight without voting, (since it was no longer Election Day!) The Election Protection Coalition has issued a preliminary report describing thousands of problems on Election Day. Perhaps we could obtain a copy, cull some of the most egregious stories, and release them to the press (a few each day, to keep up readers' interests?) Surely with the American public following the antics of Jessida Simpson and the latest Apprentice wannabe, folks would be interested in amazing stories from the polls?)

6. OH is not Jesusland but Fraudland
Jesusland assumes that the election was won by b*#* because of the religious right. This is not true-Ohio was won by Kerry and we are working our butts off to prove it.

4. The answer is not simple
Great article, but he is wrong in saying "the answer is simple." If the answer were simple, we could solve this problem. The collusion of the media and the bulk of the Democratic Party leadership make the answer not simple at all.

Is this a major paper in San Fransisco?

If so, this is the most heartening thing I've read since Nov 2.

If things like this got published everywhere, we would have real public awareness & action.

20. in the print edition, on the same page, was an article re: MSM's lack
of coverage of the fraud issue. It was by the "reader's representative" responding to tons of calls and emails about the Chron's not addressing election fraud (at least until today) Very balanced, acknowledging the various sides to this issue- no "tin foil hat/conspiracy" attitude...
