during this election and what reforms they are going to advance in congress. They are talking about the need for states to standardize their voting methods as well as improving training for election officals. They talked also about voter suppression-such as what happened in Phildephia with intimidation-they sent people wanting to cast provisional ballots to police stations.

laying out a litany of voter suppression tactics as well as Blackwell's sleazy actions with alot of energy and clapping.
What is the formal name of this event? I got in late.

7. I have only been able to get bits and pieces of this. This |
|
morning I turned the TV on and Arnebeck was talking about wanting the machines, and then went on to say that when he filed his lawsuit he would be able to proceed with discovery. They went to another speaker then. Discovery might turn up alot of things we arent getting right now.

8. Are you talking about Arnebeck at the Judiciary Committee yesterday? |
|
That piece has me psyched and I think this is where the Rethugs will concentrate their efforts to obstruct the litigation process.

I get home from work at 3:00am and turned on the tv and the hearings were on. Wow -- It was great to see so many people passionate about the election and the things that are going on. Some very impressive speakers with some very impressive actions!
I got so angry when I heard about the people forced to stand in the rain for hours -- especially when I heard about the man who had come from the hospital just to vote and the woman with the IV who fainted. The thing that got me the most was the testimony about that asshole Blackwell and how he has delayed the recount. This guy should be removed from his position immediately...he belongs in jail! My blood was boiling when I heard all the crap that he has done. The fact that he is co-chair of the Bush/Cheney campaign is an obvious conflict of interest!! Did these guys actually think they would get away with this?
Rep. Conyers is to be commended for getting these hearings together and getting the ball rolling. I have to say, I was also very impressed with Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.
Anyhow -- a good start, I think. I especially liked the guy that said this:
"They aren't ignoring us anymore...they aren't laughing at us anymore. They are fighting us! And we are going to win!!"

getting a hold of those vote machines, analyze them, prove they were tampered with, and then bring charges based upon those results. If anybody can do this I think Arnebeck and Bonifaz can.
I would guess that once proof is found of rigging the machines that they will start from that level and investigate who was behind it.
