SF Chronicle: Why Democrats Lost Ohio
Article by Steve Rosenthal

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/12/09/EDGFLA8L051.DTL

"When it came to getting out the vote in Ohio during the presidential election last month, Democrats hit their target numbers. America Coming Together, along with our 32 America Votes partner organizations, the Democratic National Committee and the Kerry-Edwards campaign, not only exceeded turnout goals for the Buckeye State, but far exceeded anything the Democrats have done in the past.

Still, we lost. President Bush won the election by fewer than 120,000 votes out of 5.6 million cast in Ohio, according to the latest figures from the Ohio secretary of state. Democrats added 554,000 votes to their totals, but Republicans countered with 508,000 -- enough to keep the state in their column."

aren't taking the fraud into consideration. Makes the article and their bs MOOT......

Moot, do you understand, Moot! It's all moot until we get this voting business into a proper, verifiable system.

3. WRONG !! Democrats won in Ohio !
Hey , we've got enough in the Mainstream Media passing off lies that the Republicans won in Ohio ... we don't need DU'ers doing the same !

If you want to read the SF Chronicle article that really counts ...

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/12/09/EDGSVA88P51.DTL

Nothing gets me more steamed than supposedly intelligent people wringing their hands and trying to analyze "What went wrong" .
I'll tell you what we did wrong ... we sat back while our Representaives in Congress allowed the votes to be tabulated by the likes of Diebold, E,S&S , etc.

As long as Republican private corporations are in charge of counting the votes( fraudulently ) , they're going to continue to "win" these elections!

Wake up people!!

4. Many ways to rig elections
Having the man in charge of the election for the State of Ohio also being co-chair of the Committee to Re-Elect Bush doesn't hurt ones chances...Having republicans decide on the allocation of voting machines can be a winner when they 'somehow' under allocate in largely democratic precincts or having a republican decide on rules to count provisional and absentee ballots, rules that are nowhere to be found in the state's bylaws concerning elections. All this adds up to a rather nasty smell......

5. Git yer news from the Iconoclast....
Suggest you get your news from the Lone Star Iconoclast (crawford TX)--they're a lot more up-to-date than the sf Chronicle.

------------------------------
Excerpt--see link below:

"The time is now to draw a line in the sand -- to give not one inch, one millimeter, one vote toward the cause of skewing this election. This recount, no matter the outcome, conducted properly, is a necessity for democracy to prevail. Without it, America can never trust another election."

Editors, W. Leon Smith and Don M. Fisher, of The Lone Star Iconoclast

7. Steve Rosenthal should be fired....
for sloppy reporting. The Republicans fought back by not providing enough voting machines in largely Democratic precincts; they fought back by disenfranchising voters and fixing votes in every way they possibly could. Since much of this involves criminal behavior, this fight is not over. In many ways, it has just begun.
