...required by the Senate he discovered that he had employed an undocumented (illegal) nanny and forgot to pay some related taxes. Blah Blah Blah.

Does anyone really believe this story?

19. McClellen on it.
"Presidential press secretary Scott McClellan, in a conference call to news organizations, revealed that Kerik had withdrawn "for personal reasons."

"Bush's nomination of Kerik quickly proved controversial. News reports in recent days focused on revelations that Kerik had made millions of dollars a stun gun company that sold weapons to the Homeland Security Department and which wants more business. The White House had said that Kerik would avoid any conflicts of interest."

26. shit's hitting the fan.
If Bush really felt he had a mandate, he'd rammed any crony down our throats. But I think he's beginning to realize that between now and January 21st, he's got to be rilly, rilly careful not to set off the shit storm too early.

With all this talk of election fraud, it's going to be interesting to see how he keeps his job.

35. Not so sure.
I am curious, though. I'm sure he was supposed to be their muscle. He's no doubt appropriately sullied, so they could have hung him out to dry later after he'd "gotten out of control." That's they way those guys work. Maybe some of his funk got leaked to a reporter.

When -- oh when -- will saps stop trusting those troglodytes?

33. NANNYGATE PROBABLY BULLSHIT, A COVER UP....
It is very likely that KKK Kerik had some very serious and scary shit in his past that was about to explode like a shit bomb, and the nannygate story is just a cover up.

This guy is a brutal killer, and if a nanny stood in his way, he would have snuffed her out like a candle.

An extremely dangerous and pathological criminal, chosen for these attributes by his soul brother, the POTUS AWOL cowardly cokehead commander-in-thief, George Walker Bushitler, who will follow Kerik down the shit chute real soon.

36. Nannygate my ass. Kerik has some scandal to do with a Taser company
he either owns or is heavily invested in, stood to make millions more with an exclusive contract for use of the tasers with Homeland Security. They probably had to pull him before the articles came out revealing his really crooked dealings. Guy is a thug.

39. I think so too. He sure did sell that stock in the Taser Co. just
in time for the price to fall. Could it be an insider tip of some sort? Maybe he could go to jail like Martha.

38. Whoa! Amazing! Heard something else interesting about him
Edited on Sat Dec-11-04 02:23 AM by proudbluestater
this morning on Democracy Now. Apparently he was on the board of directors of the Taser Co. Two weeks before a newspaper article came out stating the tasers were not completely shown to be safe, he dumped his stock and reaped 4 million bucks.

Martha Stewart is the ONLY one who goes to jail. Screw that.

I doubt whether the nanny issue was a problem. The nannies were only an issue when Clinton was president. Now with the Repukes in control, they hold themselves to a much LOWER standard where both the president and vice president have profited from insider trading and never did a day's worth of time. Nannygate is for Dems, silly folks. The Repukes break the law in MUCH BIGGER WAYS.

40. The Nanny-scam is an intriguing concept...
Really - the director of homeland security employing an illegal alien? And failing to pay taxes?

Sounds a bit like that NJ governor (McGreevey?).

Maybe shrub can hire Tony Soprano. Now THERE's a guy who can get the job done!
