Did Terry Anderson end up winning?
He ran in Ohio and there were a few posts about him getting in a fight with his challenger over some pictures she printed accusing him of being with the enemy. I was just wondering if anyone knows if he won. This got no press in our part of Ohio.

1. Unfortunately, no
Joy Padgett got away with character murder- her campaign actually had the nerve to show photos of Terry Anderson with his captors as inuendo to question his patriotism and allegiance to America.

She's a real piece of crap, Padgett is. I wish I lived on the other side of the river so I coulda voted against her ugly ass.

3. Was it even close?
How could anyone have the heart to vote against a guy that was a hostage for goodness sake! That's cold!

5. nope, about 56/43 if Wash Co. results are credible
which I wonder, given that the area is fairly liberal (comparatively speaking) and Anderson did a great job showing how Padgett supports policies that have shut down many area businesses.

6. Remember how McCain was treated when he ran against
Bush. He was savaged. Republicans have become meaner by the year and will do anything to win. Of course I do not have respect for McCain anymore because of his campaigning with Shrub.

2. He lost.
His opponent (I think her name is Joy Padgett) ran an incredible smear campaign against him. It was digusting.

7. I had forgotten mostly about this!
I can't believe that people there were dumb enough to vote for Joy Padgett after the downright dirty stuff she did in the campaign. It really is quite disappointing.
