The "New York Times" reports how the fraud took place
Read how Bill Wheatley, NBC "News Vicepresident", concludes that the exit polls "are junk" and that Bush "is winning Florida"...because the WH told him!

1. Can't bring myself to click on the link. Sorry.
I get the same wave of nausea come over me as when I read a thread entitled "Bill O'Reilly." ;-)

2. They're saying the exit polls were flawed
because they were showing far more women voting than men in the electorate. Yet the same exit polls later showed more women voted for bush.
Which is it, you can't have both ways

3. That is their "decoy..."
They have "claimed" until today that they "oversampled" women voters for Kerry.

The thing is that THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THE FIRST BATCH OF EXIT POLLS, THAT CAME UP RIGHT AFTER NOON EASTERN.

We want to know what happened with the next wave of exit poll results. And they act stupid about it!

7. I recall reading that it was impossible
for the "women over-vote" to make a difference because of the sample rate used. Something like in order to get Bush ahead as much as he was in the final exit poll data, based on the early data, atleast, the poll people would've had to stop polling ALL women and poll only men for the rest of the night, and even then, it would be within not more than a percentage point Margin of Error.

9. Correct.
Let me tell you what the networks say, and I'm not joking.

They "found out" after the first exit polls were in, that they oversampled women voters for Kerry in a proportion of 59% TO 41% OF BUSH MALE VOTERS!

That's what they claim. It is not possible to correct such a HUGE statistical gap by merely feeding more numbers.

No way.

10. Yeah, but Mitofsky claims he didn't do a breakdown in polling gender.
Somewhere in the archives is a "Letter from Wayne Mitofsky" where he asserted that his polling was complete and accurate. However, he refuses to release the internal data, so it's anybody's guess as to what one might find there.

13. Jonathon Simon of the Alliance for Democracy
made the point that even if women had been 59% of the sample in the morning the exit polls would only have changed by a whopping 0.1% to 0.2%. The only way that the exit polls could have wound up matching the vote tabulations was if the exit polls had been corrected to show that 0% women had voted.

I think Cliff Arnebeck is working with Alliance for Democracy, too.

14. I actually don't find a sampling of women
at 59 percent during the day so unusual.

There are a couple of valid reasons for this: more women than men are the stay-at-home parent and there are more older, retired women, as they live longer than men on average, who would be out voting during the day.

Are they saying that this was "oversampled?"

I doubt it.

They just don't want to admit that it's the vote that's been frauded, not the exit polling.

5. It was obvious.
The Bushbots knew they were losing, but they also knew they were going to cheat. What to do? Lie about the exit polls to cover their asses.

Plain as they nose on your face.

Everyone was reporting as if Kerry was on the verge of winning. Suddenly the White House is saying that the exit polls were wrong and the right wing media swallows the lies and reports them as truth.

Give me a freaking break!!!!!!!!!

8. and days/weeks before election, warnings about Ohio and Long Lines
were being reported. *I* didn't have a long line (red county) -- but makes one wonder about the spin factor, and who is actually involved in disseminating this information....

18. I agree with Tennessee Gal.
Doesn't it seem strange that the Bush camp was so well prepared to discredit the exit polls? Maybe they were prepared for it LONG before election night, eh? And, yeah, if they are so sure that the exit poll data is flawed, and will prove the exit polls were incorrect, why are they so protective of it? Why don't they let everyone take a look at it??? *()&#$*(^$#^!!!!!!!!!!!!!
