12/06 Letter to OH editor about Cuyahoga County BOE lies

I dutifully registered via the online registration system, 2½ months before the election. When it was two weeks before voting day, and I had not yet received confirmation of my registration, I called the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, which offered reassurance of "Yes, Mr. Mandel, I see you right here. You're ready to go and vote."

Imagine my surprise, then, when I arrived at my polling place to find my name nowhere to be found on the books.

1. Doesn't say if they let him vote provisionally

While I can empathize with his frustration, protesting via withholding one's vote does nothing to spur change.
