4. I have been observing the recount |

The numbers that are already available reflect only the very smallest and most rural counties. It is to be expected that early changes such as these will favor Rossi. The important changes from the large Puget Sound urban (democratic) counties will not be completed until close to Christmas.
The democratic party is out in force to observe this hand count. It is tedious work, but I am impressed by the professionalism and competence of the election workers. Every ballot is handled three times; once to sort into piles for each candidate, then counted separately by two election workers to make sure their (blind from each other) counts are identical. A third worker than looks at each person's count sheet to make certain they match. All of this is done with an observer from each party sitting right up to the ends of the table. Every discretancy that I saw was caught and corrected by the election workers themselves. They are being very diligent and honest.
I hope we are able to get this kind of hand count in Ohio.
