Anyone go to the NYC protest?

I did, there was about 60 people there, I didn't see any media, but I got there a bit late.

1. Went to one in Madison WI today

There were only about 30, but many stopped and listened and asked questions. It felt like a success and was good medicine for all of us. Tomorrow is the 50-state protest in all the state capitals. Looking forward to it.

Are you talking about Dag Hammarskjold? I would estimate about 100 people in the beginning. A pitiful turnout for NYC.

Edit: Even the police didn't attend.

3. I'm talking about the one in Times Square (42ST)

There were police there, and a lot of people stopped and asked questions and took flyers. It felt good. :)
On edit: Where is that Dag Hammarskjold? I didn't hear of that one.

5. 47th & Second, across from the United Nations.

A lot of demonstrations take place there.

I'm sorry to hear that only 60 people were in Times Square. Both places had poor turnouts.

I think people have lost their enthusiasm for protesting. The whole week of the Republican National Convention was good, but since then none of the demonstrations I have attended have been large.

4. I went to one in Olympia, WA

There were about 60 people. The steps of the capital aren't very visible from nearby roads and very few people came by. But It was good to see other people involved. Someone brought a bull-horn and people took turns speaking for the 1 hour 30 mins we were there. There was a reporter from Free Radio Olympia and another one from somewhere else.

Ideas I heard from the rally:
-A voters' bill of rights with a number of different points including instant runoff voting (an initiative in WA is gathering signitures)
-Writing to NPR and asking them to start covering this. Someone mentioned threatening them with not donating. I think positive reinforcement is better than threats but it is a spectrum.
-Another rally on Sunday at noon AND Monday a little before noon.
