Why can't we demand a whole new election?
...obviously people were disinfranchised. It was pointed out at the protest rally in Denver how easy it would be to do. Maybe that would be where the pressure needs to be put on....start over, from the beginning....Bushies should have nothing to worry about if the man that walks on water won legitimitely....he'll just win again...NOT!

1. And get another fixed election?
We can't demand a new election until we prove what was wrong with this one. Otherwise, we'll just have another rigged election. It's better to let the facts come to light. We had four years to prepare for this election, and didn't get it right. Now we need to reveal just how bad it was to correct it.

Besides, why demand a new election if we believe we won this one?

3. whoa....
we are talking paper ballots here....ALL PAPER BALLOTS NATION WIDE....It costs 1/3rd of how they do it now....AND SINCE PEOPLE WERE DISINFRANCHISED WE SHOULD RUN ANOTHER ELECTION....PERIOD...

it could take us forever to find the fraud...maybe never...but a new election based on machine errors and disinfrachising of voters.

2. If the Ukraine can do why nott us? They had tens of thousands
protesting. We could do twice that if we are really mad enough.

4. agree, totally
we are complacent and comfortable in our place in the USA...I don't think people really believe that their democracy can be taken away....we need to get off our butts, and get pissed ...we have to be in their faces until they can't ignore us anymore.

7. The people of the Ukraine to a very large part, still have the
American spirit. The majority of people in the U.S. have been dumbed down by organizations such as Faux Snooze... it takes a lot to reeducate people... sometimes what with the educational system we have, a "reeducation" is not necessary... just an education period will do.

Another thing... the Ukraine doesn't have a military industrial complex with its claws way up in their government as we do here.. so... it is an accumulation of a whole lot of things that make us willing to sit back and watch the gubmint commit atrocities, torture, warcrimes, genocide, massive corruption with the aid of select nobid contractors, and so forth.

Not to worry... you can do wrong for only so long... then things will begin to take care of themselves once again.. in the interim though, a whole lot of waste and squandered international support will occur.

11. There is enough evidence of fraud to require another election.
That is what bothers me. Who is in charge? Does the FEC have anything to say? It should be evident to Americans that fraud has occurred and we deserve another election. Democrats actually won in 2000. Everyone should be out in the streets calling for a new election. If we don't do it this time we will be eternally in the hands of the Republicans.

16. you know asjr....that's a good question
who is in charge of all of this
what steps do we take to get this thing moving
a petition is a good start...but certainly not enough since I must have signed a hundred petitions over the summer and saw no results.

we need protests...large protests...maybe weekly
the colleges and universities were huge in the antiwar movement in the 60's...get young kids to mobilize this group

make flyers...:YOUR VOTE DID NOT COUNT...REVOTE....with a website we can all agree on and plaster them everywhere,...bus stops, libraries, book stores..colleges...

A path and an action plan must be part of the plan to people we are trying to educate...

AND THEN WE NEED A NATIONAL FIGURE, A LEADER..TO HELP LEAD THE WAY...MAYBE OUR OWN...

13. I acknowledge all of that...but I refuse to back down
we changed the world back in the sixties..and we can change it again.....never underestimate the power of the people...and that one person...can make a difference.....I know, I know it is not the same environment....but we can do this...we can win this thing...

Our fight is huge and large..I guess it is what you are willing to settle for

one thing is for sure...when you do nothing...you get a lot of the same thing.

15. Naw...makes too much sense.
The Repubs would lose it FOR SURE this time - no way will they allow a fair deal. Besides - imagine even if they did agree - they would stall it out for long enough time that it wouldn't matter. As if it would now, anyway. If there was anybody actually in charge of seeing it done fairly they could have put a stop to Bush and his gang on Nov. 3 (shut down the government, basically) until it got ironed out. Who is there that can actually slap the handcuffs on him? On all of them?

18. Lawsuits are the only way to get the voting system back on track
class action lawsuits against Diebold, driving their stock price down and also legal / civil suits against Named Elections officials, with a damages price tag that will make them stand up and notice we are pissed.

Stay tuned, GA is doing something about this, if our brake lines don't get cut in the meanwhile by those 'Powers that be' that want us to leave all the fraud alone....
