Hey Tom, you're doing a great job here and the media blaster is absolutely awesome.

Since I generally think letters with a "personal touch" are more effective, I usually (as you can see) alter your texts slightly.

A prominent figure at PEN AMerica once told me she's more inclined to read letters/emails that begin with some acknowledgment of HER work... (and this is in line with recent Ad campaigns, you know the ones, where all you have to do is say "thank you" to make someone's day)

Mostly because its very limited what I can get to go automatically into the email (that's why both the em addys and the message has to be pasted in the National Media Blaster.) It's limited to one relatively short paragraph (that's why scout's message worked so well.)

Also, since its so easy to do, I figure why not have twice as many emails coming to them telling them to cover Election "questions".

If you would like to compose a short message (about the length of Scouts) with a link to more info (press release?), I will be glad to build it. Also, a simply modified version for the letter to friends and two subject lines (one for each letter) would help speed things up.

You shouldn't be getting many Undeliverables. Actually, I tested it several times just a couple of days ago, and the only one that came back was Lester Holt. I left him on, because he's still listed on the MSNBC site (I'm hoping its a temp problem on their end. As far as the gone til Dec 13th, I think we will get more of this during the xmas season. (Thank God ya didn't have to type those by hand, eh?) If your ventured into the Senate Blaster, that's another story. It needs more "cleaning" since quite a number have gone to form mail. I plan to have it fine tuned (like I just did to the Nat Media Blaster) before we have to push for a Senator to contest the election (I hope that's not necessary!).
