I'm faxing Kerry in the morning, bright & early
Edited on Sun Dec-12-04 05:12 PM by arnheim
This is what I will fax:

Dear Mr. Kerry,

I have supported you as a Presidential candidate since the primaries. I was blown away by your honesty, your intelligence and your love of this country.

As tomorrow approaches (Dec. 13th), it is time for you to stand up and help us fight. Election fraud was committed in many states, especially in Ohio, Florida and New Mexico.

We will never get this message out unless you lend your voice to the many voices who are sick and tired of having the will of the people subverted by those who would steal our votes.

Nader, Cobb, Conyers, Jackson - they have all stood up against voter fraud. They are helping to get this message out: Our votes were NOT counted. They were stolen.

Please, Mr. Kerry, help us. Turn that boat around and help us. We are in the water and some of us are going under for the second and third time. The enemy is firing at us and we will surely be defeated unless you LEND YOUR VOICE.

Please, Mr. Kerry, you said that every vote would be counted. This is not the case at this time.

We have your back. No defeat. No surrender.

Thank you for all that you have done for this country. Please join us, Mr. Kerry, in this important fight for our Democracy.

I have emailed before but screw it. I am ready to flood his office with faxes. It may not do anything at all but who knows?

9. I think this is a super idea
And, it occurs to me that you might add "Mr. Kerry, if you give us the sign we will rally in the streets for you. You truly have the will of the people with you!" Remember Madison, Philadelphia and etc.

It's funny, but I just don't see people coming to the streets without this. Though we all wish to God they would!

We'd march anyway but if he came out and gave the word, there would be many, many more who would march.

I think that if he hadn't conceeded, there would be more people in the streets now. I truly believe that.

29. so how do you really feel
Edited on Sun Dec-12-04 05:41 PM by Ardee
about that post? :+

So I guess your support for Kerry outweighs the reality of his silence in this fight for truly honest elections. How also do you account for the rather substantial amount of money left over in his war chest, especially in light of the desperate need for more and wider efforts on his behalf?

Further (last one I promise), with such ample funds available why did he not insist they go to help the Ohio recount especially in light of Cobb's shortage of such funds? Was Kerry simply disinterested in finding out if he really did win?

Would you expect those who actually believed Kerry's rhetoric about all votes being counted to be passive and silent about his premature ejaculation out of the race?

48. Ardee, time will tell what Kerry is doing, won't it?
The "war chest" question has been asked and answered about a million times on this board. Do a few searches.

Also, how do you know that he hasn't been fighting behind the scenes? Do you know that he isn't doing what he can do but just not advertising it all over the "librul" media? Would you rather he be Gored?

I voted for him on Election Day. My support has wavered a time or two but I still support him. If I voted for him then, what has changed in just a few short weeks that I wouldn't support him now? Is he doing what I would have done in the same situation? Hell no. I'd be screaming from the rooftops but that's me. He is a former prosecutor. I think that he knows much better than you or I how and when he should move on this.

Besides, have you read the posts where he is working with Jackson?

Ask yourself - would you rather try something or just sit back, condemn Kerry for HIS lack of effort and allow * to skate into the White House?

56. Your loyalty is commendable
but your naivety is less so....Have you ever known a politician to be publicity shy? I have not. You may choose to think (wish, hope, whatever) that Kerry is working diligently behind the scenes but please do not expect a thundering herd of betrayed voters to follow your lead. He himself noted, after his rather quick concession, that he was taking a well earned vacation. He also called for unity and healing between the parties, not exactly a battle cry to me.Especially after he was so brutally savaged by those he surrendered to and now embraces.

I fail to remember any believable posts regarding why there was such a huge amount of unspent money in Kerry's war chest, perhaps you might point out what I've missed? If it was asked and answered so very often why not add one more informative sentence or link rather than be so dismissive?

You say he remains "behind the scenes" to avoid being "Gored". I find this rather peculiar on several fronts; firstly , the fact that he was viciously and continually attacked all during the campaign so why would there be a concern for what has already been accomplished. The cry of sore loser would certainly pale should the democrats speak to the number of irregularities found already in the Ohio election debacle and what the hell has he to lose, an election? It is odd to find such concern for the feelings of a man who has battled the mob as a mayor, has run successful campaigns for office, one might think his hide to be a bit toughened by now, wouldn't one?

Look arnheim, please understand that many , more and more in fact as time passes, are in need of leadership not silences. We are in dire times, people are dying, jobs are being lost, our liberties are threatened. These are not times for discrete machinations, they are times to try and salvage the remnants of a once proud but now thrice defeated party.

I haven't heard that he has gone on vacation.

Let's use a bit of logic, shall we? If his offices start getting flooded with faxes, don't you think that someone might - oh, I don't know - CALL Kerry and let him know that he is getting a million faxes? Think that might get reported to the Big Guy?

Kerry Pays Nostalgic Visit to Iowa

MIKE GLOVER

Associated Press

DES MOINES, Iowa - John Kerry paid an emotional return visit Friday to the state that launched him toward his party's nomination for president, saying he felt "an unbelievable wave of nostalgia."

"This was my home, right here in this hotel," said Kerry, who stopped off in Iowa on his way to a family vacation in Sun Valley, Idaho.

But I Agree With You 110% I Think He Needs To Know How People Feel That Had His Back And Brought Him Through, Now He Needs To Come Fowarded And Get Our Backs And Do What He Said He Would Do And Make Sure EVERY Vote Is Counted And Not Let One Get Away For Any Reason, Because I Think If Every Vote Is Counted The Right Way He Will Win Hands Down.My Fax Will Be On Its Way.

and we all see what results from that. I'll say that I'm very optimistic about tomorrow.

I'm not real good with words, so I'll let a couple posts on dKos speak for how I feel about Kerry's "silence::

From a gilas girl:

and the response below hers, from Penny Century:

http://www.dailykos.com/comments/2004/12/12/72758/130/78#78

Both sum up my feelings on what Kerry should, or should not be doing, right now.

Kerry might respond with a recipe for the best and most tasty waffles for the holiday season.

Nader was right, we were deceived. Kerry is part of the problem, he's as fraudulent as Bush and Rove. Don't expect an honest answer or anything at all.

46. With all due respect, malatesta1137, I don't agree
Nader does not have 100% of my respect even though his name has gone up considerably in the last few weeks.

It doesn't matter if he responds with the word "Doody" a million times on a piece of paper. I voted for him, I have a right to communicate with him and I will not be stopped by snarky comments about waffles.

Again, I wasn't raised to just sit back and shut up. The back of the bus never suited me, either.

You could have copied my letter and faxed it yourself in the time it took for you to think of your comments above.

I will continue to contact MY elected officials, regardless of response. They need to know what is expected of them. What he chooses to do with it is his decision.

I was not questioning your right to contact your elected officials. I was simply alerting you to the phony nature of the answer you will receive. If Kerry (or his staff) answers you at all, it'll be a formal 'although every vote must count, we are fully behind our beloved President Bush, the man Baby Jaaayysus chose to be our leader.'

You could have copied my post and faxed it instead of your original letter in the time it took for you to think of the comments above.

She's talking with Rosenfeld, who was also at Judicial Comm. hearing last Monday. He's confirming that apparently Kerry was on the phone TODAY with people in Ohio, and is NOW sending out a letter to ALL 88 precincts in Ohio about the Voting Irregularities.

This could effect the Electoral Vote tomorrow...in addition to the suit being filed by Arnebeck tomorrow.

This is fun. We have absolutely no idea who hangs out in this information paradise that I have only recently discovered.

50. Hey, this is the best place on the Internet, IMHO
I love it here. Sometimes the posts and the posters themselves drive me crazy but it's pretty much a great experience.

Welcome to the DU family. We argue among ourselves but at the end of the day, we still love each other.

58. I don't. Don't mind me, I'm just giddy from the news.

He does those advance search thingies to find me! :)

I hope that he does read the posts here. Well, the positive ones, anyway. :)
