Pics from the Boston Rally today -- Pic Heavy

Will Pitt - Keynote Speaker (and he was so elequent too!)

If you look in the background on this one, you will see the freepers that were there today... all 5 of them!

If you were there today, had a sign but you don't see your pic here, tell me what the sign said. I probably have a pic of it too!

Thanks again Will. You don't know how much I appreciate it!

10. Thanks for posting the pics!
The freepers are in the bottom pic, standing over in front of the brick building with the flag. There were about 3 of them. It was kinda funny.

13. Sunday rallies.
Whats wrong with liberal and Democratic organizers that they pick the worst day of the week to hold a rally!!!!! SUNDAY OF ALL DAYS!!!!

We need a movement with some teeth here people. We also need organizers that are much more savvy about the media!!! Monday afternoon rallies are much more effective. It gets the attention of the media and most people on their way home from work will join up!!!!

Whos around Boston Common on a Sunday to view a rally? Not the CEOs and board of directors of any companies in town. Not the media who spends the day in bed. Not the students who go home for the weekend.

I am glad to see people organizing but in order to that we need to be ORGANIZED!!!!! The previous Sunday garnered only 300 people and that was with the appearance of Howard Zinn. Weekdays are much more effective.

I hope that people remain relentless though because thats how you win. We need more people to fight on other fronts as well. We have the Republicans on one side and idiots in the DLC that want to become Republican lites. AL FROM SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!!!!

Three things we need to do over the next four years

1) Tell the DLC to stop moving to the right. Tell them to get a message with some balls and to stop conceding to Bush's wishes. Thats just death on platter and these elections are proof of that.

2) Keep up the rallies!!!!! Just pick a better time and day besides 10 AM on a Sunday morning in December.

3) WRITE THE MEDIA!!! Republicans hound those clowns and it works. They dont get many to do it but just enough to remain effective. We can get more. Write one letter a day!!!! It only takes five minutes (dont use form letters provided to you by mass marketing political movements. Editors are very good at weeding those out.)

Oh yeah!!! I almost forgot. Make that four!!!

4) we have elections in two years for senate seats local state legislatures. START GEARING UP NOW!!!!!!! those tiny victories will add up. I know its hard considering that the DEMS seem to lose elections on purpose and work against their base at the same time.

Remember this.....

KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE!!!!!!!!!!

20. Great Pics! Thanks Much
These are pics (at link)from Augusta, Maine posted by my cohort at PBS Discussion Board, Cokids. She thought she would be snowed out, and had posted early that morning that she was sadly not attending. But, she braved the weather anyway, and at the encouragement of her sister-in-law, they both went.
Cokids writes:
"Well, the photos are ready! These people came in the snow to stand outside the State Capitol of Maine to let you know that they aren't sure that this election was legitimate. This one is my favorite. Never let anyone tell you that 'protestors' are lazy young people. This lady puts the lie to that idea!!

She stood out in the snow with us today."

(Sorry--I couldn't get the picture to paste? Still learning here! But go to link to see this wonderful elderly lady who participated in the protest, along with other pictures--very cool!)

Here is the link to the gallery of shots from the day.

Enjoy and stay tuned...."
