Freepers response
Trying to get a response from the freepers at thier site this is what I got from this question:

is it true that the rats are filing a major lawsuit today ?

They don`t have shit. Do they ?

Ans:
Even the Supreme Court is powerless after today. The House has sole authority to resolve any disputes.

Sooooooo what does this mean and where do we go from here ?

1. What that means is
After the Ohio electors have cast their votes (Dec. 13) the only body that can have any effect ie. change the result is the US House of Reps

24. or us in the streets...
In the Ukraine...the people on the streets forced the annulment of the election...if the House tries to pull any funny business, even after evidence of fraud, the people, united, and in the streets will force them to decide a revote...or risk blood on the streets.

It is as simple as that...are we willing to go and fight some cops over this...or...when the time comes...will we let the House of Representatives, filled with Republican ideologues, decide our democracy?

If there is evidence of fraud and proven conclusively...I will be in the streets, people. Will you?

4. Need a lawyers hand here
...I'm a newbie with a theory.

I have suspected that the way to run around the Supreme Court and the House having ultimate control of the election is to pursue cause as a criminal matter and not as exclusively civil matter-- I mean if you use the word Fraud, doesn't that imply that you have a criminal case that may go to a judge and a jury? and finally the jury of public opinion? These guys have been strategizing this since 2000 so they have to have a game plan .... Boise is no idiot

In my inner most dreams I imagine. . remember the big fat guy (the portly ill-clad gentleman) who was working with Keith W on the election? There was a comment about the administration "not being sure of him" Maybe that last minute sprint to Ohio on the part of the president was to guarentee the fix was in, and that guy was wired Supreme court wound't get near that one

A dream

I always go back to the fact that Kerry is a prosecuter and that maybe his presidential campaign was one big sting operation Time will tell

Criminal make a difference?

6. Criminal matters remedies
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 09:02 AM by bemis12
are restricted to jail time or fines. That is to say- a criminal matter will not change election results, even if we win.

That's not to say that it couldn't affect public opinion- it would. It just wouldn't provide a way around the election results.

*edit typo*

23. I think the Remedy for Contest in an Election is a New Election
I am an engineer not a lawyer, but that was Munster's comment. He is evidently a lawyer that was involved with the contest in Florida in 2000.

19. "They don`t have shit. Do they?" It's the "Do they?" part that I love
It's as if they're so full of confidence with the first sentence: "They don't have shit."

Then that little bit of doubt creeps in.. "Do they?"

The fact that they would ask "Do they?" at all leads me to think that the poster either has his/her own doubts about the outcome, or knows first hand that there was indeed fraud and is afraid that the evidence is about to come out.

Sorry I didn't make myself clearer in my first post!

Um, I think our guy posted this on freeper world.

I am not trying to rain on your parade, but it doesn't matter if the election is a fraud, the repukes hold all the power. We don't control the House/Senate/Courts, so who is going to come to our aid? We really need to develop a strategy to take back our country from the neoconvicts, rather than kidding ourselves that the powers that be will address election fraud. I hope I am proven wrong, but I doubt it. I learned my lesson the hard way with the 2000 election fiasco.

Ooops. That's what I get for trying to skim too quickly. Sorry, ya'll. I totally misread the first sentence of the original post. I thought that was the response he received! I was wondering why I was the only one who found that line funny.

Sheesh. :dunce:

the wording reveals a bit of panic. In other words "how much do they have on us?"

14. Basically, we embarass the shit out of them and take to the streets.
We need proof of serious fraud, we need media coverage. We need to make those congressmen and women's life utter hell. Even then, Bush will probably get four more years. They will be really really shitty years, though.

15. Well, if you can't do a criminal suit and get anywhere, is
there any way to do a civil suit. Civil rights violated, right to vote violated, votes stolen and you were not elected. Civil penalty: bankrupt the repuk party.

17. I hope we can prove the machines were hacked
and therefore all congresspeople who got in (repub) should be investigated, too. And Senators. Since 2000. Earlier for some states depending on what machine shows fraud and how long its been around. Its going to be a mess but it absolutely needs to be done. The alternative is worse.

So who would that include? When did Feeney get in?
