5. Arizona to certify vote at 2 p.m.
Napalitano to address electors? Wonder what that about. We don't go on daylight savings time, and I think we are Mountain Time. We have 10 electoral votes, but there was monkey business in Pima County, the second largest county. Voters told to go to wrong precincts by callers from repulsive headquarters in Tucson and other crap.

7. HIDEOUS article re today's Ohio electoral vote
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 09:15 AM by eowyn_of_rohan
Electoral College today more than ritual

By Carl Weiser
Enquirer Washington Bureau (Cincinnati.com)

WASHINGTON - Ohio's 20 presidential electors will gather at noon today in Columbus to cast their votes for President Bush, officially awarding him the most coveted electoral votes of the 2004 presidential race.

For many Americans, including Sen. John Kerry and leaders of the Democratic Party, it's just a ceremony cementing the fact that Bush beat Kerry.

But for a small sliver of conspiracy theorists, liberal activists and alternative news junkies, it's the latest step in stealing the election. Through conspiracy or errors, Kerry's votes were not counted, they insist, though repeated media investigations have shown no evidence supporting their claims.

The Kerry campaign says Bush won Ohio. Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe says Bush won Ohio. The Democrats who serve on the county boards of elections say Bush won Ohio.

What are the chances of Bush's 119,000-vote victory, which puts him over the top in the Electoral College vote, being overturned?

"None," said Carlo LaParo, spokesman for Secretary of State Ken Blackwell. "These accusations are absurd," he said. "Come on. You answer the questions and you provide explanations. And yet these folks still don't believe you. You get to the point where you essentially have to say, 'You know what? I prefer my nuts dry roasted. Thank you. "

21. OHIO ACTION on this....!
Can anybody in OH send Letters to ED --the Cincinnati Enquirer--and try to get a rebuttal in print. Keep it to the point, and call this BS for what it is, in polite terms. Goal is to to get it in print, so don't rant, and make it the right length so it doesn't need much editing. Just a forceful rebuttal. We have to counter these skud missiles....

Suggest--DONT mention "nuts dry roasted"---tho I KNOW it would be tempting....only draws attention to the wrong thing.

28. Agree a LTTE should come from an OH resident...here's a draft.
Dear Editor;

Contrary to Carl Weiser's opinion, I am not a member of a "small sliver of conspiracy theorists, liberal activists and alternative news junkies, intent on stealing the election." I am among millions of concerned, rational Americans who want to restore legitimacy in our election system.

The concern over the election questions is not just a matter for Ohio. Because the outcome of the presidential race is in question, it concerns ALL Americans.

I have read the 14 page letter to Secretary of State Blackwell from the House Judiciary Committee dated December 2, 2004. I watched the televised Conyers' hearing. Those are valid questions that Americans from Minnesota to Texas and from Washington state to Washington D.C. want answered.

Why would an Enquirer reporter want to sweep these questions under the rug? By not allowing recount workers to access public election records, Secretary of State Blackwell is sending a loud and clear message that he is hiding something.

Let the recount proceed!

"though repeated media investigations have shown no evidence supporting their claims."

What media investigation. Certainly the data is out there and if they aren't finding it, then perhaps they are not looking.

How can they tell such a blatant lie? It even makes me wonder if we are just dreaming all of the discrepancies and irregularities - so you know it makes those who aren't buying it to begin with completely dismiss it as a possibility. Perhaps that is the plan - so far it sure seems to be working, based on my experiences with people.

"I read it in the newspaper so it must be true" mentality - except of course when it espouses a view that is contrary to their beliefs and then it becomes "the liberal media". Ha. Maybe years ago but not for a long, long time.

Also, does there have to be a liberal press and a conservative press? Can't there just be someone who only prints the truth? I guess since truth is a matter of perspective, most will always see it one way or another.

I liked your comments and tempting though it may be, I don't suppose yours is the letter we should send to the editors . . .

44. Well here is the one I sent...
Dear Mr. Weiser,

I have a serious question for you the article you wrote “Electoral College today more than ritual”.

In that article, you wrote the following:

“they insist, though repeated media investigations have shown no evidence supporting their claims.”

I’ve been following this, and to this point have been pretty quiet for fear of being labeled as you put it, a “conspiracy theorist”.

My question is:

Of what media investigation are you speaking?

And with that initial question, several other surface in my head.:

Did YOU actually conduct investigations? Or is a “some people say” Fox moment? Do you know these people that did this investigating? Can you please direct me to their findings?

It is odd to me that all these “repeated media investigations” have never actually been reported to quiet the nay-sayers. With all this investigating taking place, why isn’t it reported? I know that if I had done ALL that investigating, I would want it made public. Don’t you? You spent all this time investigating. All of those late nights at the office and in the field…ahem…”investigating”. Work filled weekends. The wife and kids screaming, “Daddy…come home.”, and answering with, “Sorry little Billy, I have tons of INVESTIGATING to do.”.

Again I ask you to please release all of the findings that YOUR investigating has uncovered. You are obviously a tireless pitbull of a reporter that has spent many hours investigating. Well…show us your stuff.

Thank You,

(Buddyblazon)

P.S.

My Mother is a Weiser. Wouldn't that be something if we were related? Boy oh boy...its a small world. I could be related to an "investigative journalist". HOW EXCITING!

39. One of those "Repeated Media Investigations"
In its entirety ...

MSM Stenographer: Um. Secretary of State Blackwell, it seems that there are some lunatic activists -- I think they're also called "voters" -- and, er, gosh I don't want to sound like I'm insinuating anything, but it seems that they say there have been some, er irregularities with the election you ran. Can you answer these wild accusations in your official capacity as chair of the Bush/Cheney campaign -- oh, sorry I meant to say, as Secretary of State of Ohio?

SOS Blackwell: Irregularities? None here. No problems whatsoever. The election went smoothly. In fact, everything went exactly the way it was supposed to. Nope, nothing to see here, folks. Must be raving lunatics asking these questions.

END OF MEDIA INVESTIGATION.

46. My letter
Dear Mr. Weiser,

I read your article on today's meeting with great interest, but was hoping you could help clarify a couple of issues for me. Regarding the allegations of voting irregularities, you say that "repeated media investigations have shown no evidence supporting their claims." Could you please point me to the reports of such media investigations. I have been reading your paper regularly since the election and have not seen any reports of these investigations, other than a confirmation of the very suspect Warren County lockdown in which election officials contradicted the FBI in saying there was a high terrorist threat.

The other question I have is with regard to the quote from Carlo LaParo, the spokesman for Secretary of State Ken Blackwell. He says, "You answer the questions and you provide explanations. And yet these folks still don't believe you." My understanding is that the democrats on the House Judiciary Committee sent Blackwell a letter that included 39 questions. Nowhere have I seen Blackwell's reply to the Judiciary Committee letter, even though it was sent weeks ago. If you know of such a reply, I would be very interested to see a report on it. And if Blackwell has not written such a reply, how can his office possibly say they've been answering questions and providing explanations, when they haven't even replied to members of the House Judiciary Committee?

Regards,
xxxx

Through conspiracy or errors, (what I like to call FRAUD) Kerry's votes were not counted, they insist, though repeated media investigations have shown no evidence supporting their claims.

Did I miss something? Did the MSM actually get off their duffs and look into ten of thousands of voter complaints and found them all invalid. I must have been asleep or something.

59. C-Span wont be covering the hearing!
Read starting from post #22. They never mentioned the hearing at all. The only thing mentioned was the electoral college. Apparently it will also run at 4:30. Another poster in this thread actually called C-Span and it was confirmed the hearings are not on the schedule.

62. That Was Me
There was no doubt when I called this morning that they weren't broadcasting it.

Not sure why everyone has chosed to ignore our informative posts though, maybe they were just buried?

60. Thanks kerry!
Because he doesn't show up publicly to say something...nobody in the MSM or CSPAN is giving a care about these hearings....

THESE hearings are important..and need to be covered....LIVE...

I've lost faith in America.....no media, no care, no press, no nothing...and the damned link they provide (Radio Left) just went off...there's nothing more to hear!

61. Just spoke to C-Span! They will not air the Conyers' hearing,
because "they do not have the money to send a crew to Ohio, for a hearing that they have covered extensively, last week."

67. yeah, they just told me the same thing ....see post above

69. They could, I presume, if the right holding organization provides
it.
Why do I feel that there is a massive blackout under way?
Am I loosing my marbles?
They only way this information is going to reach the masses is a protest a la Ukraine?
The congressmen and women at the hearing have to hold a press conference on this matter. Would the MSM's ignore this, too?

70. At the same time as PeterEaterson's Verdict.
Gee I wonder which one the sheeples in this country will care about?
The death of a scumbag or the death of democracy.

71. I and many others would prefer your nuts in a sling...
You get to the point where you essentially have to say, 'You know what? I prefer my nuts dry roasted. Thank you. "
