18. Mine too!
I was thinking the best gift, would be for 17 republican electors to defect to the democrat side, or 34 to at least not cast a vote.

Just a thought.

35. Happy Birthday all Du Sag BD
Mine is this week too...never seen so many sagittarians in one place. Must be that fiery idealism and never-say-die stubbornness.
Visionaries with focus.

Hope we get to see the same qualities in President Kerry real soon....and we'll really feel like celebrating...

6. Yes, & Conyers was very interested in this information.
He asked Cobb to schedule a meeting immediately to discuss this in detail. One of the female panel members asked Cobb if he had the name of the man, but Conyers interjected that he'd prefer this information be given privately. :)

29. Hey Ya'll!!
I just left the hearing a few minutes ago and I'm sitting at a cyber cafe at the convention center in Columbus. This was an amazing forum! I have video of pretty much all of it and copious notes. As soon as I get home I'll pick through the video and find the best of the best.

34. I have tape of his testimony
But its not going to be great. I had turned off the camera, thinking it was over when he got up to speak. So it'll jump around quite a bit.

33. BTW...
That was my son who posted the original message here for me. I left very early this morning and wasn't sure if any news media was covering the event.

There were 5 TV cameras on the main floor of the council chambers when I got there this morning, and several more showed up later to cover Jesse Jackson's speech. Many media had left by 12:30pm. There were a couple of regular folks using camcorders (myself included), and everyone was quite accomodating. The guard at the entrance said that the council chambers was filled to capacity (400 people) and by the time the forum was called to order it was standing room only. The spectators were quite subdued until Maxine Waters began her speech. She got a fantastic standing ovation and the end of her comments.

David Cobb was very passionate in his speech today, no pontificating about the plight of 3rd party candidates this time. The crowd gave him huge applause, and he is one of few speakers who actually acknowledged the spectators and gave a peace sign.
