there are several things happening today. Many options are now on the table. Anything could happen...

Litigation could change things
Recount could change things
There could be a re-vote

Plus, media coverage has increased, even "negative" coverage is coverage.

19. Taking a while

Jamboi, I agree. I've thought all along that this is going to play out like Watergate, increasing investigation, smoking guns here and there, affidavits, discovery -- the usual course of a lawsuit. And I am so glad that Kerry is still in Congress (although, of course, I'd rather he were in the White House) because he has lots of experience with this sort of thing. If nothing else we can keep * very, very nervous for the next four years ... if it goes on that long. I see him going down in absolute and total disgrace, taking his entire gang of henchmen with him. NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER.

2. Agreed, Lawsuits are filed. Accusations of fraud &
obstruction of justice are being made by congressmen. It takes a lot to topple a dictator.

11. "NEW ELECTIONS NOW"-meme. "reframe the debate"Lakoff
avoid the mousey "recount" idea, tho that is helpful.. to recount.

shoot higher, to a goal that gathers all the now-suppressed ethnic votes...

NEW ELECTIONS NOW

basis: BBV tallys are of totally unknown accuracy.

A tiny magnetic field, with no copy on paper anywhere, is all the BBV has to prove a vote. A field easily jiggered out of existence.

Nationally, is it eighty percent of votes, tallied on BBV's?

Even five percent would be reason to have

NEW ELECTIONS NOW.

10. A little disappointed w/ Arnebeck for 2 reasons:
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 01:50 PM by Shalom
He was giving out teasers last Friday about explosive charges that would rip things apart, which was pretty exciting, and even had some female DU'ers aroused and ready to bear his children (guess I was a bit jealous over this, but anything for the cause as far as I am concerned !), and now we hear:

1. Maybe they kind of delayed too long, and created this false drama about stopping the electoral college vote in a matter of hours - if this had any chance, why not file Friday PM ?

2. If there are affidavits with "hot" charges in the suit, it should have been broadcast earlier, before the Ohio electors cast their ballots. Would have made their action much more suspect. How much effort would it have taken to post some images of the actual suit documents this morning ?

13. Friday filing probably wouldn't have changed anything...
... but you're right, it IS very frustrating. Last minute / hail mary's etc. Don't tease us if you haven't got the goods. We've been through enough of a rollercoaster . Shades of the 2000 post-election month ... though I'm start to feel in that we had more of a chance. It seems like now all it will take is one Ohio Supreme Court judge to shut this whole baby down , and aren't they 5 of 7 Republican ? Public Outrage ? Ha - seems like the (ex)Communists are the only ones willing to fight for Democracy these days.
Sorry about the gloom and doom.
Just frustrated about having to hear the Conyers hearing off of somebody's bad cel phone. Unlikely C-Span will actually show it at 4:30 . Probably yet another rumor to get our hopes up. Seeing Blackwell joke it up at the Electors meeting has put me in a foul mood. Where's Faye to cheer me when I need her ?!? Anybody? Tex?

17. I never heard Arnebeck say anything about stopping the
electoral college vote: was that just wishful thinking on our part?

12. The most positive sign

was that Kerry get 'aggressive', make a lot of demands. Slowly we see the "true face" of Kerry...

Also a good sign that he want to proof the election software etc.

This is just great!

Kerry is in.
