To those discouraged by MSM -- the REPORTERS WANT OUR FEEDBACK
I just received a reply from Mr. David Knox of the Akron Beacon Journal. He and two other reporters ran an article (Saturday?) titled "Election day criticisms may yield changes."

We don't have to write long letters explaining our position, all we need to do is encourage them to keep digging. It goes to show that responsible journalists are listening to us :)

My email to him:

Dear Mr. Knox:

I live in Oregon and feel reasonably secure that my vote was counted. It is only right that all Americans have the same assurance once they have cast their vote. Thank you for joining in the increasing number of media voices who are exposing how many things went wrong in Election 2004, particularly in Ohio.

Regards,
(Straight Shooter)

His reply to me (BTW, his colleague also replied similarly):

Your comments are greatly appreciated. It's important for reporters to demonstrate to editors that our stories have impact. Your e-mail helps us do that.

1. Your response was great!
All we really need to do is boil this 'dissidence' down to a simple, fundamental, undeniable right to have every vote counted.

There is nothing the media can discredit about that, and it takes into account all the discrepancies about this most recent election.

Nicely done.

2. Thanks.
I always bear in mind that messages to reporters may end up published or sent upstairs to editors, and I want to present a calm voice on behalf of those who believe the election was tainted.

3. You might tell him to watch the hearing on C-Span
and find out about the criminal activity that took place in Greene County.

5. You might tell him that Blackwell's LockDown was illegal
"Now, here is the kicker. Blackwell not only did not have the authority to take this action, he is actually in violation of the law. Ohio Revised Code Title XXXV Elections, Sec. 3503.26 that requires all election records to be made available for public inspection and copying. ORC Sec. 3599.161 makes it a crime for any employee of the Board of Elections to knowingly prevent or prohibit any person from inspecting the public records filed in the office of the Board of Elections. Lastly, ORC Sec. 3599.42 states: “A violation of any provision of Title XXXV (35) of the Revised Code constitutes a prima facie case of election fraud within the purview of such Title.” "

6. Since he and his fellow journalists are in Ohio, I bet they're on it
It's my guess that the big news happening in Ohio with the hearing and the Triad revelation and Kerry's letter, all the reporters are smelling blood and looking to be the first to break a story.
