The right is OUTRAGED! OUTRAGED! about the recount!
Rush and Ann will be outraged by the end of the day. Soon outrage will be everywhere, they will have riots in hallways during the recount.

We're catching on!!!!!

*************************************

The Ohio Recount Outrage

(skip)

However, most recounts are honest. In most states recounts are required when the result separates the major candidates by less than one percent of the vote. Recounts when the vote separating the major candidates is more than 200 almost never change the results. But that is not always the case. Senator Slade Gorton (R-WA) was thought to have won his re-election bid in 2000 but the recount reversed the results and today Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) has his seat.

In short, ordinarily recounts are a regular process to insure that close elections are properly counted. That is why Ohio is such an outrage. That recount is only for the purpose of making trouble. There ought to be a law outlawing that kind of recount.

**********************************************

Vote Fraud As Fundraiser: Cobb and the Ohio Recount

(skip)

So the question must now be raised: Where is all this extra cash going? And how much is Cobb pocketing himself? How about the rest of his staff? The Cobb camp won't comment.

To add more spice to the charade, Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap, the bookkeeper of the Cobb operation, just happens to be Cobb's girlfriend. And as Cobb's fancy new website explains, "Monies raised as part of the initial $150,000 have paid for re-hiring staff," among other things. Sopoci-Belknap, not surprisingly, has been rehired along with numerous other friends of Cobb including his "Media Director" Blair Bobier Esq.

Green Party members and others should be outraged at the fiasco. Not only should they be questioning the motives behind Cobb's Ohio recount, but they should also demand financial records to account for all the money that has rolled into the Cobb quarters since the election ended. For the odor of a con-game in Ohio is fast thickening.

And absolutely no substance. Jeez, they need to be a little more creative than just constantly attacking the messenger's motives and character, rather than addressing the substance of the message. Surely even the rabid flock get tired of the same boring nothingness?

RRRRRRRRRRRRROTFLMAO!

Good grief!

Not a word, not a SINGLE word about the ALLEGATIONS, nothing about the obvious voter suppression, nothing about how the numbers just don't add up... just... "outrage!"

EDIT: I take it back, cuz I just read that steaming pile, and it did mention the "long lines," but only to say "there were long lines everywhere!"

Geezohman.

I pray to their vengeful god that this so apoplexes them that their hearts fail, just as their hearts have failed when it comes to care for the poor, forgiveness of those they accuse of sin, &c. Then, without hearts or minds, may their guts also be twisted, so that all they have left to oppose the truly righteous with are their lowest organs - which they are just so uncomfortable with anyway. Amen!

16. Nothing like creative lies
In the first article, the author states that just the Black vote was dissed and since the Secretary of State Blackwell is black but a Republican, why should Blackwell dis the Blacks. Old proverb, ask the wrong questions, get the wrong answers. 1) Blackwell is the co-Chair the re-select the President. 2) It was not just the Black vote, it was most of the Democratic leaning areas that were dissed.

In the second article implies that David Cobb is making money off of this travesty with his co-conspirator girlfriend Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap. Talk about tin foil time, I have a space ship in the desert I would like to sell to this guy.

Just be ready for anything with these people. We have seen their work before and we will see it all over again.

A lot a repubs don't even know that all this stuff is going on. This was the problem in 2000 with Gore being put in the spotlight did not help his case at all! They made him look like sore loser.

30. I do not think everything is going to what has been planned
With get the vote out message, we hoping to overwhelm the oppositions rigging the vote. Of course these people had a few tricks up their sleeves. That did not work.

At this point the media is doing everything to ignore the "dissent" group about our complaints of how the vote is more than obvious being rigged. This cannot continue at this pace. When pelted with an obvious smear tactic, we cannot go forward quietly to make ourselves heard.

This implies that we need to mail, e-mail and telephone the media, members of our elected government and so fourth. We need to be polite and mean, another words ardent about our believes and knowledge. There is to much quite at this time. Do not let these insult your intelligence!

36. unfortunately, half of my union-thug friends voted for the shrub
I don't think the DNC has a clue just how many union people have given up on the dem party. After NAFTA the union people in my shop who were conservative on alot of issues left the party for the most part. They voted dem when the party stood with them and they backed the union strongly because it is the reason they make a good living. These days they still back the union, but they just don't buy it when union leaders tell them voting dem will help them in any way. Most of these people just wanted a strong candidate to come out for them, to tell them what they wanted to hear: every American who works hard for a living deserving a decent wage and protection for their jobs. Kerry just didn't get the word out to these people and so they voted with their gut and went for the guy who gave them a tax cut.

27. Let's get the facts straight.
In 2000 in Washington state Maria Cantwell won the general election for one of the US Sendate seats by 1,199,260 vs. 1,197,307 for Slade Gorton (R).

The slim margin of error triggered an automatic machine recount, under Washington state law.

After the recount, Cantwell gained 177 votes, and Gorton lost 99 votes.

The recount totals: Cantwell 1,199,437 vs. Gorton 1,197,208.

THE RECOUNT DID NOT REVERSE THE ELECTION OUTCOME.

I do not have time right now to research this shoddy reporting, but DU folks should not be misled by more of the sentimental nihilsm of the media, whether internet/print/radio/tv.

that's why none of them were close. they are using the popular padding to speak against a recount--i think we got 'em--their only hope is to stall or stop the verification process, like last time. i think we're going to the supreme court again--this time we need the eyes of the world watching--it won't be accepted if they besmirch themselves again.
