CSPAN2: Dem. Policy Committee Congressional Oversight: Dems to use forums
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 09:01 PM by jamboi
now, since Repubs not doing oversight job. Repubs. no interest in oversight. Lists lots of scandals unchecked, including Iraq, Haliburton, Bremer failures, etc. Hard hitting. Sen Byron Dorgan & Sen Harry Reid.

My point of posting this here is that Conyer's Forum is the only outlet the Dems have right now and it backs up Conyers that the Senators are bringing up the same points.

2. So shaming republicans into
doing the right thing, is all that is left? Thought the shame quotient was at unbelievable levels before. Dems will have to encourage the moderates to openly work with them - wonder will that happen?

3. They said that although they may not have Supeona power they do have
a legal jurisdiction to initial investigation (can't remember the phrase they used), but they basically said they are going to go after it hard!
