I think Arnebeck has the right strategy.
Take your time and do it right. To rush to meet deadlines is not going to help our cause. We need to build our case and prove without a doubt that the election was tampered with in Ohio. Meeting deadlines is not a big deal.

We should be more concerned about getting to the truth than overturning the election. I have seen many downtrodden posts on here today caliming "well, the electoral votes are cast now, there's little or no hope at all now."

But I wasn't depressed at all. In fact, I couldn't give a shit that the electoral votes were cast today. The thing we should be after is truth, and nothing more. It will be next to impossible to overturn this election. It always was after 11/02. But overturning the election isn't the only reason to look for fraud.

When proof of fraud is found, it will be almost more beneficial to us if it comes out after Bush is inaugerated. That way, there is harder to put political spin on the outcome. What proof of fraud will do, however, will enrage people, and challenge Bush's legitimate power. It will destroy his "mandate" concept, which is more dangeroue than people think. The concept of a mandate implies that the public has no right to challenge him, no matter what he does. What proving fraud does is give us the right to challenge him.

There will be few things standing in the way of Bush and his neocon agenda for the next two years. No House for sure, no Senate, no courts, no media... Public dissent is almost all we have left. The concept "mandate" was a psy-op built by Rove to limit the credibility of any dissent. Proving election fraud will hand us that credibility like your mom serves you Thanksgiving turkey on a dinner plate.

So if we are not able to overturn the election, do not dispair. There is plenty more that proving fraud will do. There is a big difference between a legitimately elected president eliciting a "mandate" and a fraudulently elected president eliciting a "mandate." Hopefully, finding fraud will help us gain credibility in 2006.

1. I agree that Arnebeck is doing great & I want the election contested!
I didn't expect that Arnebeck would be able to stop the meeting of the electors, but this does NOT mean that the election is over. The person who is President of the US is the person who is inaugurated on Jan 20th. If scandal breaks loudly in Ohio (and elsewhere) we will have a Senator to stand up with a member of the House to contest this bogus election. I completely agree that there is more than one reason to uncover the fraud -- knowing the truth is its own reward. Nonetheless, I simply cannot think about using this effort for anything other returning the White House to the people.

8. Agree. Cliff has that great combination of being a wild eyed
devotee but also, a cool headed advocate.

No, things won't magically go the way they should in a sane world, but if we keep fighting the good fight, maybe by 2008 people will go to the polls with some confidence. 2006 is another story.

But, we all know how many scandals MendacityCentral is now having to mind. It's just a matter of time.

Time we're going to do anyway. Take heart.
