Arnebeck suit before Ohio Supreme Court attacks election of Chief Justice
Edited on Tue Dec-14-04 01:16 PM by bones_7672
In the petition filed with the Ohio Supreme Court, Cliff Arnebeck claims that Chief Justice Thomas Moyer was fraudelently re-elected on 11/2.

Go to page 41.

Now, let me ask you: Do you think the Ohio Supreme Court will seriously address this if it means overturning the election of the Chief Justice??? Hmmm???

5. A little worried about that myself
Heaven forbid they drag it out so long that she ends up ruling on the legitimacy of her own election? Not a re-election I hope?

8. maybe the chief justice is radical right, and now
can't rule on the case if it comes before the whole court due to conflict of interest.

9. Sounds like Arnebeck's trying to get Moyer to recuse himself...
...and this should accomplish that objective.

13. Appeal to whom?? Federal Courts bend over backwards
to stay out of state races. Even in FLA 2000 the Federal Courts were very leary of getting involved and the difference there was under 600 votes. The diff now is 118,000 in Ohio.

20. Federal Courts
"Even in FLA 2000 the Federal Courts were very leary of getting involved and the difference there was under 600 votes. The diff now is 118,000 in Ohio."

The big difference here is that there is a crime, a big one, election fraud. In 2000, there was no crime so you can understand their reluctancy.

12. With 5 Repubs & 2 Dems on the Court ...
if you tick off the other 4 Repubs, and, who know, the Dems may even like Thomas Moyer, you certainly don't build any sympathy for your cause even if Moyer recuses himself. And Justice Moyer's election was not the only Supreme Court race we had here in Ohio, but his was the only one singled out.

25. But for what purpose??? There will STILL be a 4-2 majority for Repubs
on the Court, and Arnebeck is seen as "attacking" a sitting Justice. Doesn't seem like the way to get the court on your side!
