"Fox News" is strictly a propaganda station. There is no news or chance for balanced presentation of info or issues; and no chance for useful interview. Just beligerance and disinformation. We need a truth in labeling law. There is no such thing as FOX "News".

They let him on to discredit him and make him look like a "sore loser with an agenda." Hannity DID keep cutting him off and telling him to get over it. He was also very condescending, but IMO, I also believe Arnebeck could have made a better defense of his case...

I think you're probably right and that would come off the best for ME (but I don't watch the garbage). Do you think that comes across the same to their typical viewer? Not a loaded question, I really don't know. I can't hardly see any benefit for a thinking person to appear on Fox.

128. I've only watched Fox when stuck in a bar, airport, or occasionally in a |
|
hotel room, so I'm certainly no expert. (I'm quite pleased not to get it or any other cable punditry/"news" on my extremely limited basic cable at home). But to address your point, I only think the humor defuses any "power" Hannity or any of the other jerks has to cut them off, denigrate them, or try to put words in their mouth. As for the viewer, it is probably a wash.
And, frankly, I think Dems/progressives should probably boycott the network, but unfortunately that only works if they do so enmasse.

That FOX is the only folks that invited him to be on -- although I think I would have turned down that invitation --
You'll never be able to talk over them -- because it's setup so you physically can't talk over them -- although everyone doesn't use it -- they use 'ducking' on the mic signals -- so when the guy they want you to hear, in this case Hannity starts to talk,,, it 'ducks' the audio from the guy they don't want you to hear -- so the louder you get the more it ducks... until you end up lookin like an asshole shouting and the other guy is calmly sittin there still being able to talk over you easily-- so what's the point... you're fightin a losin battle -- you just have to shut up when they interupt and hopefully you can get a good few word or two in --
A very good example of hearing this work is the Randi Rhodes show -- I can actually hear the compressor working -- when Randi starts to talk it's so blatant -- hehe, which is why she always wins the talkin battle... ha, cute.
I said I wasn't going to post anymore today -- ah well.

133. Arnebeck had a nice long interview on C-SPAN about 2 weeks ago. |
|
And I've seen snippets of interviews with him on CNN and MSNBC in the last week or so.
I think the Fox interview...while appearing to be a 'loss'...what REALLY a gain. The fact that the subject of Election Fraud, and Arnebeck's suit actually made it ON Fox during "Scott Peterson Week"... was not only amazing...but also probably the FIRST time MOST Fox viewers heard anything about the Fraud suit...and continuing saga. The fact that Fox allowed Arnebeck to come on the day AFTER the Ohio Electoral vote is also positive...in that most Fox viewers (like most Americans) thought that yesterday's Electoral Votes was the final word in the Election controversy. To have Arnebeck on today was actually courageous for Fox...in that they were acknowledging that the Fraud dispute, and recount continues. Plus Arnebeck is a very rational, level-headed, impressive representative of the cause. Compared to Hannity's irrational nature, Arnebeck really needed to say very little...just open the 'window' of knowledge that "this fight ain't over yet."
Plus as Bonifaz' quote of Gandhi at last week's hearing said: "First they laugh at you....then you win." Quit being negative gang. Take any MSM opening we get...and run with it!

I don't think he did. Hannity did a good job of not letting him finish his sentences. Arnebeck could have prepared his arguments into simpler, more powerful messages that maybe would have broken through... I don't think anybody watching that interview who wasn't already sympathetic to our cause was swayed... in fact, I'm almost positive nobody was...

Due to the format of the show Colmes cannot argue with sean. That is crossfire's format. The show is setup to make Colmes look weak and enable sean to lie with out fear of being called on it. If a guest starts calling him on his lies sean just throws a tantrum.
So people please stop watching this crap. It will never be beneficial no matter who the guest is.
We need to stop listening to our enemies and start doing what we know is right.

The thing is they all say the same thing. I don't think second hand really applies in this case. Second hand usually implies a somewhat distorted message. The right carefully crafts thier message so it gets stronger the more it is parroted. A message crafted with reason often gets distored when repeated. This is our biggest problem. I think Clinton said it best with "When the people think we win".

Very smart move. And by maintaining his civility in the face of Hannity's bluster is exactly what he should've done. Arnebeck is an attorney, who no doubt can capably defend his point in front of unconvinced 'juries' all the time.
I'll bet he did better than it seemed. People will go away and think about it some. (Including Hannity, whether he admits or not.)

You have to have some basis for a challenge, Hannity. Also, in a state where there are obvious reasons to doubt the outcome, such as where there is a SERIOUSLY PARTISAN secretary of state and TWO electronic voting companies, one being owned by a heavy Republican party donor and campaigner who promised the election to *.
Arnebeck should have said, "well, when we did investigate a state where Kerry won, the Republicans never objected, whereas in a state where * apparently won, they do. So, what's the objection there? What are * supporters so afraid of?"

I happen to come across him talking about election fraud and stopped to watch- I was shocked that it was the hannity show.LOL.
Good for Faux for having Arnebeck on.It gets the message out there and I know a lot of people who watch Faux just for the circus-like quality of the reporting.
Plus the mere fact that Faux is giving this air time/trying to discredit it speaks volumes.
We are having an impact and they are worried. This is a good thing.

93. Putting up with Hannity and O'Lielly is not our biggest worry... |
|
Though our biggest worry -- out and out violence to stop recounts -- could possibly be incited by these idiots. Today, Randi Rhodes mentioned a group - the Texas Strike Team - who traveled to Ohio to stay at a HoJo's and call people who had been convicts to tell them that if they went to vote they would be arrested. I can easily imagine the members of the Texas Strike Team being inspired by Hannity.
I think that getting a small piece on FOX -- even if negative -- will get more people listening for news from other sources, will get more people talking. I sense some *real* tension in my little red state from Republicans who are scared that something might be really wrong -- we need a lot more people feeling a lot more uncomfortable.

I saw a post here a couple of weeks back from a guy who called his Cable TV station, told them that he had *had it* with FOX News and asked them to cut that station from his cable package. He then emailed FOX and told them what he did and why!
I don't have cable - so I can't, but I thought it was a great idea!

but you can't just take Fox out without getting down to just a "basic cable" package. It's a joke. So I have to cut my entire cable package to be rid of Fox. They told me I could just block it instead, but I told them that doesn't quite make the same point, now does it?

We need to have the few people that are actually good at dealing with these kinds of a$$holes go on there and fight them. The problem is whether Faux would let those kinds of Dems on their shows.
If all people hear is the Repuke side of the story, of course they will believe them.

99. I didn't see it, I'm only reading this thread, but I think Hannity |
|
getting that angry is good. It sounds as if he went overboard. If true, that's good. For someone like me, a know nothing psychologist, it means he's overly anxious to debunk, which means he/they know there is history that has to be debunked. If he was confident in the right wing's honesty, he would be more relaxed and crack more jokes. His anger and rudeness is revealing.
Additionally, he works for Murdoch who with Time Warner, GE, Disney, and Viacom contracted with two companies to do exit polling. They paid for the service - a perfected sampling technology that has allowed those networks to call elections accurately for decades.
They got the two companies to reverse the poll trends in the middle of the night to parallel the thefts. Somone like Hannity will not be an innocent employee in his knowledge of what went down.
They WANT to get away with it. They NEED to get away with it. They EXPECT us to kneel down and submit. They expect us to play head games with ourselves by saying no one would do that (even though it was done just two and four years ago.
CNN is riding on the coattails of the honor and integrity of NBC, CBS, ABC in past years. FOX is riding on the coattail of honor and integrity of the others. Numb and gullible citizens believe the networks, but what we have is a co-opted partner propaganda system that is more insidious than the USSR.

Sadly, he is a Republican so naturally he watches Fox. He told ME when we spoke tonight that he saw on the news that Kerry was asking for a count of the 92,000 ballots. Then we started talking about it.
I told him that there were just way too many 'anomalies' everywhere for something NOT to have been done to steal the election. The old "where there's smoke" routine. He agreed and said that that is exactly what went on with Nixon (whom he absolutely deplored). I was so proud of him for actually HEARING and THINKING!
Maybe there are more open minded people out there than we think.Maybe there are others out there who think that to steal an election is just wrong...regardless of their party affiliation...well, we can hope.

I think I will make it a point for the rest of my life/his show (whichever goes first), I will email him, putting something that gets them rock hard in the subject ("partially aborted fetus exercises his 2nd amendment rights on the murderous doctor, says God/Bush told him to", something like that). Then, all the body will have is:
FAG!!!!
Why? Not to insinuate he's gay. God, I could not insult homosexuals like that!! But you can look at that jerk and just TELL that something that childish, done over and over, would cause his lil' melon to explode... plus it would be on his mental level, so I know he would understand it.

I posted this on the sharpton thread BUT it applies to Hannity as well he pulls the same shit as Oreilly..
O'Reilly never invites anyone on his show with a louder ass voice then his own. I swear they do mic tests to be sure his is louder
He's a like an alpha dog. Domainte lil sucker who Pisses on his guests then proceeds to ride them all the way home.
It's the SHUT UP show or Shut up Bitch show..
Notice they never invite a dominate alpha dem on the show?? Nooo they bring in Sharpton where they think they can dog him and address his wardrobe vs the subject. In this case did he make reference to his suit? LOL .. O'reilly is a piss ant.
They need to remove the O'reilly's shoes, I'm just waiting for the day he pounds someone with them. Jerry spinger wannabes.
This guys is giving moral values to America? umm HELLOOOOO he's scammed on his producer.
If there was one person in this world who's tongue I wish would be cut out. It's him. and hannity! extra for good measures.
But in a way to brings attention to the bush voters, maybe 1 or two will get off their fat asses and look around to see if it has any merit.

So what if Hannitiy beat Arnebeck up. The lock down is so tight, they were fools to let Arnebeck on!! You see, now we are on the starting line, at the beginning, and can only go forward. Arnebeck was able to say on FOX, KERRY WON OHIO!! It will keep going! To keep it going they must keep researching to continue to report, and get the viewers. I think this was a good thing. When you have NO news, bad news is good news. We are off and running!

132. Its ridiculous to try and |

play the game on Hannity's terms. They want to try and get you into an emotional give and take because, as we all know, they are masters of distorting issues and spinning facts, and someone like Arnebeck isnt. If they suck you in, your emotions get the better of you and they play you so you end up looking stupid. The only way I have found when dealing with those bf's like Hannity and Limbaugh is to calmly stay on message and deal with their assholery with compassionate intent. Even though they may appear to be getting the better of you because they have all the trip words and catchy phrases figured out, at the end of it all you look much better because you come across as someone who cares about their message enough not to get caught up in an emotional ego war of words.
And anyone who does survive a Hannity interview with their dignity still intact then deserves a medal of honor.
Just my two cents.

138. Then Arnebeck survived! He has tons of dignity, and it shows... |
|
even when he's not talking.
He did fine. He 'opened' the dialogue. It's a start.

145. I think we should blast them with emails asking for more info on the fraud |
|
but do it just as "concerned" citizens.
Just my opinion not to play into their Faux-fox game.

146. Shawn Handiturd beat up my favorite lawyer? |
|
I didn't get to see it. Wouldn't have wanted to see it. Handiturd is such a fuking puke:puke: that I can't sit through 2 minutes, my tv would be at risk!
