John Conyers for President
if we can't stop the inauguration I say we immediately start a campaign to nominate Conyers for President in 08. We need someone who knows what's going on with election fraud or we'll just lose again.

3. well that's a little premature...
BUT John Conyers is a patriot all the way.

and i suspect he'll be the one that instigated the commander-in-thief's impeachment. As a political leader, anyhow...

you watch.

12. Just passing on something here I assume others have seen
Something that was sent to me, no harm being sure it gets out:

"Rep. John Conyers feels he needs a million e-mails to compel the House Judiciary Committee to hold hearings about the 2004 election.

I appeal to spread this message among your list of liberal friends and associates.

Go here and tell the Judiciary Committee you want hearings on Ohio!

14. Keep the faith, Faye!
I like that about you.

I'd support Conyers -- at least he has balls even with his back against the wall. I don't think I would want to wait until 2012, but if he were to run he'd have my support. He's got a backbone and will take on unpopular subject matter. That says a lot for him in regards to our spineless current leadership!

34. Oh, I saw it.
But I took it as a grain of salt because I am also very aware of the tone of the majority of your posts. So, it didn't phase me when you suffered a momentary lapse of faith in the cause. Either way, I've had those moments too... Actually quite a lot lately and that's why I've not been as vocal as usual. It's nice to see that there are people on here that keep on keeping on.

21. I said that back during the Radical RW's attempted coup on Clinton.
I like the sound of that: John Conyers for President.

And with all due respect to the poster who suggested Ron Dellums for Veep, I'm partial to Maxine Waters. Hey, if we're making history...

NGU.

30. I'm serious about this...
I don't want to do anything until after inaguration day, because I'm still holding out hope.

But after that, I say we pool our efforts, start a petition, email, ... drive to let Conyers know that we want him to run and we'll do everything we can to support him.

I just googled "Conyers for President" and nothing came up that related.

If Bush is inagurated, let's make sure LOTS comes up.

37. In all seriousness

What better way to set a real standard for the party... that actions speak louder than speeches. Maybe we let our candidates select themselves - by being there when it counts.
