I thought it was OH. My bad. So very sorry. In my defense another person listening with me also thought they'd heard it that way too.

Supreme Court rejects Democrats' recount lawsuit

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The state Supreme Court on Tuesday unanimously turned down the Democratic Party's request that previously rejected absentee and provisional ballots be included in the hand recount of the governor's race.

Republican Dino Rossi won the Nov. 2 election by 261 votes and held a 42-vote lead over Democrat Christine Gregoire after the first, machine recount.

In a brief written opinion, the high court said that under Washington law, "ballots are to be 'retabulated' only if they have been previously counted or tallied" - thus excluding those that had been disqualified by county canvassing boards.

The decision does not affect the 561 uncounted ballots in King County that were discovered Sunday to have been wrongfully rejected because of mistakes by election workers. Those ballots go to a canvassing board Wednesday for verification.

5. they had over a month to plan how to stop the vote count
and years to plan this very complex and diverse vote control. What did we expect? Them to just lay it out for to find the fraud. These people plan. To steal an American election at this magnitude is a real planned job.

8. There is a relatively simple solution to this...

If you don't have confirmation or even a link -- then don't post it. Given the gravity of this situation posting such information and not even listing a link, much less naming a solid source, is a grave offense against your fellow DUers. (AAR does not really count as they tend to report the news HOURS after we are already on it.) You really should take heed that a lot of people will see this and there hearts will skip a beat. In fact, I am 90% certain this was in Washington state, as my mother-in-law told me about it this afternoon. Nonetheless, it is wholly irresponsible and rude to post such rubbish when you have not even verified it yet.

23. Apologies. If another person hadn't thought they'd heard the same thing
I probably would have held off. We even thought that Mike Milloy went on to talk more about it. I thought they were breaking news. I'm still new to AAR so you're probably more familiar with it than I and are probably right about them being slow to put out news. Our mistaken hearing and my mistaken post. Any ways I apologize.
