The organization started by that bright young girl. I thought she was making a statement about the tainted election.
Bummer. :(

8. It is called Kerry's Kids because we are |
|
the Kids.
Moreover, this speaks to those that need some political maturity and lack political history, AS WELL AS THOSE WHO CAN TEACH THE YOUNGER GENERATION (THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN THROUGH WATERGATE, ETC.).

10. If we are not sending emails directly to you, why do you care?! |
|
Having known many people in the investigative reporting business, any tip is a good tip, even if it is unsubstantiated. It is their JOB to substantiate things.
Having known many lawyers, any info for them to investigate is worth investigating. They will have more contacts, talk to more people and LEARN more things.
The MSM has a calculation that for every email or call they receive on a story there is x number of people that are interested in that story. Why should we be silent?
As far as other threads, I agree that multiple threads are annoying, but they are going by lightneing fast and they are easy to miss. If info is buried in the response to a thread sometimes it is helpful if a whole new thread is started on it. More people can jump in, etc.

but they are only tips. I have known many tips to lead nowhere, UNTIL the tip has substance.
Lawyers only take on what can be substantiated. Investigation requiers something that can be substantiated in order to start.
Why do we need to think before blasting the MSM? Because hundreds of emails accusing "X" of doing "Y" means nothing without sources. Otherwise, the MSM brushes it off as "Tin-Foil" and we all know what happens when you cry WOLF too many times.

in a perfect forum everyone might follow along and say and do it perfectly. Give people a break , most people have good intentions who come here. I don't think its reasonable of you to have such high expectations. This kind of post might scare away well meaning people who have allot to offer. Your entitled to your thoughts but, Democracy comes in all shapes & sizes.
I think that its important to show some tolerance of peoples imperfections.

So what if they get too many e-mails? They can throw them out. Who knows what we're sending them? Any one of us could hold the key to something. Any of us could have a theory that pans out. Would it be better if we sent it snail mail? That's what we used to do. I think it's activism.
I see the point of the post, it could make us look silly. It also makes us a force to reckon with. If we can have 1000s of e-mails sent on a moment's notice, we're a powerful entity. If Elizabeth Edwards posts here, I think we've got some street cred. Power to the People.

. . . You are damn right this stuff is serious, stealing an election serious, that's real serious!
Here on Du were have the right to post anything that is plausible and worthy of further discussion and inspection and investigation. This is a free speech Blog Site and we let the poster bare the responsibility of choosing wisely and the accountability of being able to defend what they have posted by attracting other posters who will support or refute the claims. Then the original poster can share in the satisfaction of having uncovered a blatant lie or retract what is exposed as a fraud.
That is the way it works here and just in case things get a little testy or feisty, we have our moderators who referee and make the ultimate call on any dispute or flagrant deception. Free speech, just like a fresh cool wind blowing in from the mountain tops. Could just build up to be a hurricane that will sweep away the fraudulent pretender to the throne and allow a real leader to be installed.

I thought it might have contrasted them to the Bush daughter Bimbos. New flash, Jenna may teach school at a private charter school. Her arrests did not qualify her for teaching in public schools so she looked elsewhere. I guess private schools aren't as fussy about the morals of their teachers.

1. We have too many lawyers trying to run things, and being a little too careful about every little thing they do and say.
2. Timely is relative. Threads oftentime come and go very quickly. Maybe you don't work. I do. And because I work sometimes I might miss a story. And since this is my only REAL source of news, I don't mind if a story gets repeated - that way EVERYONE gets to see it.
3. We're dealing with a LOT of unsubstantiated stuff here - - in fact that's the reason it is here. So it can get flushed out and figured out. No one else is doing it - am I right?
4. I don't have time to check out every GD thread that's been posted.
5. The "professionals et al" have had control over my life long enough - and look at the mess they've made.
You want things a little too neat and tidy George, and quite frankly, I'm not in the mood!
