I'm not certain of it, but that's the vibe I get.

discover enough to win.
I wish the media would note the lack of fair elections in the US, in the same way they found the Ukraine election needed a redo.

4. I'll take the other side of that |
|
Of course, it's all guesswork. Regardless, it's going to be massively close, and the loser will be very unhappy.

2. This is a prime example of why all votes should be counted twice |
|
Only in US elections do we not double check our totals.
King County has found another 22 uncounted ballots in the bottom of some polling machines. So far, about 600 uncounted ballots have turned up and they'll be presented to a county canvassing board. That board will decide whether those votes can be tallied in the current statewide hand recount.

6. WA Dems should take this issue all the way up to the SCOTUS |
|
Seriously.
At bare minimum, they should do it to FORCE Rehnquist & Co. to rule on the issue of whether Bush v. Gore's holdings (w/r/t unequal treatment of ballots from county to county in a single state) do, or do not, constitute binding precedent. Make those five criminals either deny cert alltogether or choke publically on their own words.
That being said, it's ridiculous that machine error is subject to correction through the recount process, but a human error (in improperly excluding valid ballots) is NOT reviewable or correctable, even when a full statewide hand recount is being conducted. It's just plain nuts.
