CONGRATULATIONS DU! 86,631* EMAILS SENT!

The recent National Media Blaster and C-Span campaign conservatively* resulted in 86,631 individual emails sent out by over 900 individuals!

I don't have time to post the breakdown/details right now since I promised to have the Nat Media Blaster updated with the latest NYT and other info in about one hour. But, if anyone is interested in how this "broke out", I will be glad to post it here after I post the new blaster.

I think we may have had at least some of the impact on why the MSM is starting to be "nicer" to us. (Note the change in "tone" of the AP and NYT articles.) Somebody told me that when they get a mass of emails on the same subject (especially in a short period of time), it "shakes 'em up" since they know this may only be the tip of the iceberg, and each email represents 100 or more people that are just as upset (may cancel them, etc), but didn't bother to write.

* Only those who left the email to me in the mass emails were counted. I made no estimate of those who may have deleted the email, but blasted to the national media anyway.

32. It is possible, since I don't know what happens on their end. But..

not likely since they receive so much email from so many different sources. Once, I got a spam server reply from the reuters group (I think), but I simply eliminated all of them from the emailing (their loss ;~} ).

Also, on another spam angle. I called my isp and asked if I would be considered a spammer if I did this. They said no, since I was sending to receivers that were "public", and expected to get large quantities of unsolicited mail that were appropriate to their, business (mail pertains to the subject matter they handle). (I have sent out over 13,000 em's at once to media that was approprite announcing my website. If I didn't choose appropriately (sent it to garden mags, etc.) it could be considered spam.)

40. I've sent some via private e-mail, too--easily hundreds more.

Plus I cut, pasted and forwarded your entire media blaster package to other Dems not in DU and urged them to contact their Senators and Congressional Reps. I urge everyone here to do the same! Send it to Democratic Clubs all over America, to your Democratic and Green friends, to progressive groups such as environmental and women's groups, peace activists, gay rights organizations, minority advocates, etc. Let's get this number up to a million!
