Instead of TRIAD President Rapp, Why Not Interview the Perp ?
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 03:27 PM by Shalom
I must be missing something here...

1. There is a sworn affidavit that alleges "Mystery Mike" told poll workers to use a cheat sheet, and that he enagaged in suspicious activity with a polling machine

2. It is a federal crime to interfere with a national election, and most likely against Ohio state law as well. Conyers has already notified the FBI and Ohio law enforcement.

3. "Mystery Mike" could immediately be contacted by the FBI and/or law enforcement, and asked to give a sworn statement.

4. If he refuses, he should be terminated immediately by TRIAD, and a criminal investigation pursued to the max

5. Am I missing something ? Looks like common sense to me...

Yes, in fact, Conyers will be on the Olberman program!!! Sadly, I don't even know who Olberman is, but I like what he's doing. I suspect Olberman is on cable but my creed prevents me from subscribing to all that nonsense.

Conyers: "Maintenance" violates state and federal laws (Keith Olbermann)

SECAUCUS— Congressman John Conyers' request that the FBI investigates the actions of a voting equipment manufacturer in Hocking County, Ohio last week, includes the assertion that those actions may have violated two federal laws, and as many as four state statutes.

Conyers, who will appear live on tonight's edition of "Countdown," notes in his letter to the FBI (and the Hocking County Prosecutor), that "for a period of 22 months from the date of a federal election...it (is) a felony for any person to 'willfully steal, destroy, conceal, mutilate, or alter' any such record."

The Michigan representative also wrote that under Ohio law, "during a period of official canvassing, all interaction with ballots must be 'in the presence of all of the members of the board and any other persons who are entitled to witness the official canvass'." Conyers notes that just last week, Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell had declared that the so-called "canvassing period," which usually expires ten days after an election, had been extended to cover the period of the Ohio recount.

Conyers' office indicated there had not yet been a response from the FBI field office in Cincinnati, nor from the Hocking County Prosecutor's Office.

4. What happens if this guy disappears
and can't be found or Triad says he must not have been one of their employees.I'm just thinking how they are going to lie and try to cover their ass.Ms.Eaton,I guess will have to have a police artist sketch drawn and police issue an APB,then plaster his image all over the MSM.But by then he could be out of the country.

15. Just got some VERY interesting info on Triad Pres & Montgomery Co recount.
The following was sent to me in an email by a gentleman who was a Dem observer for the Montgomery County recount. (Dayton)

In a previous email, he had noted that they ran the ballots through the tabulator a couple of times because of an unknown "glitch" that resulted in around 500 more votes being counted by machine that by hand. The observers accepted the excuse that was offered after the so-called glitch had been "fixed" ... it now appears by Brent Rapp himself! When my contact read the NYT article about Conyers bringing the FBI in on the Triad technician affadavit, he made the connection and sent this.

Remember that the Rapp family themselves do the programming!

The email follows:
-----------------------

Brent Rapp, Pres. of Triad, was present at the Mont. County recount on Tuesday and personally handled any "glitches" that occurred in the computer recount of the county's punch card votes. Whether he had advance knowledge of which precincts were to be hand counted, I cannot say. BOE staff had selected the 21 precints to be hand counted prior to our arrival. The hand count did produce a change of 8 total votes.

I asked for Mr. Rapp's card and he advised he didn't have any, so I requested he write down his tel.# which he did, plus address.

Dep. Dir. Harsman advised that Triad is a small family firm that maintains all of Mont. Co.'s election equipment and does the programming for each election for less than $25,000/yrs. He further advised the county plans to pay Diebold over ten times that when it switches to electronic voting equipment within the next two years. (Conspiratorial minds might wonder how or why Triad could do this so cheaply.)

I called to Mr. Rapp's attention Congressman Conyer's previous concerns, and asked him if, hypothetically, a program could be developed that would change a program's vote totals and be undetectable. He acknowledged it could, but pointed out that it took two keys to access the software in the server, one held by a D and one by an R. He also said the programmer must sign in each time a change is made in the program and indicate the purpose of the change, and then sign out when the change is complete. (Again, conspiratorial minds might wonder, if someone was going so far as to rig the system, would they have any qualms about falsifying their reason for changing it.)

As some of us watched all of the voters' ballots being carted about during the recount, each precinct separated only by a rubber band, we came to the conclusion that that was about all there was holding our democracy together -- rubber bands.

17. Very Insightful: If a Dem & a Rep can OK undetectable changes, then...
..who is to say that other hidden keys cannot produce the same result?

The rubber bands holding our democracy together have been stretched to the breaking point....Maybe it is more accurate to say our democracy is hanging together by our "threads" !

Thanks, hedda_foil...
