So its a good thing Sheen, Sarandon, Robbins, Redford, Penn and the
rest of the gang are keeping a low profile, right?

1. Yes, IMHO
Better for this to come up from the grass roots, ordinary people. Look how much has been accomplished without these folks.

12. Not only that, but a celebrity enemy would give them something
outside their own rotten party to focus on and blame for what's about to happen.

Low profiles are good. Assembling information on how the scum got into power is great. Sitting back and watching them purge themselves into oblivion as they blame their own moderates is priceless.

22. but it would be nice for those folks to send $ to the groups contesting...
the election. the groups are funding out of their pockets with minimal help. A sugar daddy would make a great gift for these hard working patriots! Alliance for democracy, Free Press, CASEOhio.

a following and who have come forward in the past. And in the face of a MSM bias which is only now starting to throw us a bone or two, I would not mind a few high profile voices. ON EDIT...I do realize that this kind of support comes with a price.

He has always been an activist and he is believable.

He is retired as far as I know.

Didn't he blast Colin about a year ago?

8. I tend to agree...
if Hollywood folks get involved they are too easy to attack from the Right.

As KO points out, the Conyer's hearings are good exposure, but they are not really the real deal. We COULD get real hearings if the Judiciary Committee is contacted by large numbers of people. I would think there are plenty of disenfranchised African-American voters alone to bring forth the movement that we need to get started.

16. Generally all exposure is good exposure, but....
I could just see this getting framed by the MSM as a crazy, liberal, elitist issue if big movie stars get involved....which it is NOT. Better to let the criminal elements of the story bubble up to the surface and then bring it to a full boil as the heat gets turned up.

26. I respect your opinion
but I'm of a mind to have as much commotion as possible, from every source possible. Those shitheads are going to denigrate everything we say and everybody who says it anyway.

You know that California elected Schwartzenegger, god help 'em, so big names do register........

27. We already have a leg in with the reporting being done on Countdown....
and in the NYT and Washington Post. As soon as the remaining TV networks begin to cover this that's when we should hit them with everything possible.

we must have been typing at the same time and yours got there first. I really am not asking what. Certainly not of your response. I know what. I was just being a little weird. This is something important. One can...and I have over the last few days talked about why the quiet.

You are right. WE ARE THE ONES. Not the celebs...not the Dems power....not the left politicos. All quiet.

10. I don't agree

If Sean Penn or Leonardo di Caprio would raise their voice much more people would be informed about fraud (100 thousends...) and more people would LISTEN to it.

They are like loudspeakers...

19. The Civil Rights Movement used celebs all the time

People worshiped Dr. King but they also marched so they could see Dick k Gregory, Ray Charles,Harry Belefonte and others.

People also want to heard good music when they show up to march.

IMO, we won't get the FRAUD issue off the ground without a few big names backing it up.

People are not going to pour into the streets to see Conyers I regret to say.

They will do it for Madonna, Dixie Chicks, Patti LaBelle, P. Diddy, Usher etc.

If and when John Kerry steps forth, others will follow.

Without Kerry, there is no leader other than JJ and Conyers and Waters etc.

If Michael Moore showed up the streets would be filled.

If people listened to these celebrities before the election, why wouldn't they listen now? The RW blasted them then. So what?

If the tables were turned and celebrities flocked to the Repugs don't you think they'd be using them right now?

30. My New Favorite Rock Star is David Cobb
He kinda looks like the guy from Tenacious D.

He was on our local PR station tonight and he sure was making a lot of sense. I think this movement owes that guy and his party big time.
