are we bugging all senators or trying to focus on one???
I'm trying to put up an action item on solarbus about emailing Senators, trying to get at least one that would stand up on Jan 6th.

I'm confused.

Are we sending a million emails to Conyers, and he is going to use the emails to state his case and get Senators to support him?

OR

Are we asking everyone to contact their own Senator if they think they might be willing to listen?

OR

Are we all trying to bombard Jeffords, Boxer, or whoever I keep hearing is the "one" that might listen?

OR

should we just send people to this site:

http://www.thepen.us/contest.html

???

1. Well, "we" are asking for 2 and 3...
...not bombarding Mr. Conyers.

For that, you can send folks here:

2. Every Senator
The ideal would be for EVERY Senator to be put to task on this.

However, assuming that none of the repub senators will conceivably stand up against their fuhrer, the Democrats should be primarily targeted.

Everyone with a Dem Senator, should contact them, and add an additional one outside of your state. Any effort will be more effective when the Senator in your own state knows the feelings of their own constituents.

I intend to write Boxer & Feinstein, and let them know any future support of mine, for them, hinges completely upon their actions in the coming weeks. I refuse to vote for phonies ever again. If that's the entire Democratic party, then so be it. I'd rather not vote, than vote for pathetic losers.

5. Yes, EVERY Senator...
...should get sent the Declaration of Intent. As many as we can.

Even repubs should read it (or have it read TO them, if you can manage it) because it asks the simple question:

"Are hours-long poll-tax-lines for poor, minority voters AND none for affluent, white voters tolerable to you? In essence are a racist or not?"

Even while the declaration is whizzing its way through the shredder, the question is still ringing in their subconscious.

It's a Psych-Op!

3. Rep. Conyers has asked for 1 million emails to be sent to....
the Judiciary Committee so that they can be prodded to start a real, bipartisan, full-fledged hearing. This will lend enormous credibility to the effort and should also make it much easier for Senators to get involved.

6. I thought Conyers had asked yesterday to not bombard him
w/email anymore? There was a thread last night about it.

8. Do not bombard Conyers
He has asked that we e-mail his colleagues on the Judiciary Committee. You can go to their website.

Your own senators that represent you should be contacted as well.

Moveon.org has a good email program you can use to write your people.

4. Already said this but -- Vermont!

If we could concentrate on the Dean-loving, wonderful people of Vermont, and get 50K or so to inform their Senators not to bother running for re-election unless they challenge, that would do the trick.

I went to the Capital building this Sunday for the 51 Capital March and there were only 5 people there, including myself, my son, and my friend.

9. oops on 51!
I've been following the fruad issue pretty closely, and was only vaguely aware of 51. There will be plenty more to do on January 6th (if not before that). The general march and strike should be pretty huge. I know I'll be in D.C.

Thanks for being there.

10. Use Demopedia for this topic -- I have seen repeats of this idea
at least five times now. "We" never decide and don't move forward. I started this page and we can use it to lock in the ideas and actually decide on which senator to focus and what strategy to take. The site is
http://www.democraticunderground.com/demopedia/index.php?title=Targeting_Senators_To_Get_Involved_Election_Fraud_2004&action=edit
Its a pretty messy page right now because I was going through all the archived threads to pull out the ideas on which senators and why. Its pretty crude right now but I suggest "we" use it to gain some focus and highlight appropriate strategies. Vermont is one -- there are others. We probably need to do several together -- but TIME IS SHORT. Anyone who wants to help is welcome.
