Election 2004 Special Report: The GOP Generation
Election 2004 has left Republicans with the potential to control Congress and dominate the political landscape for decades according to The GOP Generation--2004 Edition. First, however, the President must successfully resolve the situation in Iraq.

In this Election 2004 special report, Scott Rasmussen notes that this potential is "not the result of a single election which the Republicans won by three percentage points. President Bush is in a position to close a sale with American voters that was first proposed by Ronald Reagan a generation ago."

1. Close a sale?
Is that; finish off all labor unions; dismantle social security and discontinue welfare to the poor of America?

2. Not likely, unless they cheat.
This Repug leadership is going to run this nation straight into the ground. Then people will probably think there are a few more important issues than Bob and Jim kissing next door. There will be a major backlash.

Having said that, if they keep control of those voting machines that can't be verified, all bets are off; they certainly will keep control for a long time.

5. we need to remember that paper trailed voting machines mean zero
if there isn't another record to cross-reference the transaction. You never have just one record like that. Our county would not have just found 271 votes left on the cartridges if they would have verified the printed Sequoia roll with the voting record. These jerks know exactly what they are doing. Paper trailed machines are a smoke screen.

7. The title of this report should have been...
"Diebold 2004 Special Report"

This would have been more truthful, if I can still use that word when discussing the corporate media and their shills.

3. resolve successfully the situation in Iraq
Yeah, that's gonna happen....

These people pretend that the Republicans won some overwhelming victory that ensures their domination of the political scene but what we actually have is 50/50 nation. The conservative leanings in our electoral system ensure that the Repubs remain in control despite the evenly divided nature of the country. The only reason the Repubs gained in the House basically because of Delay's gerrymandering in Texas. And Bush only won by 3% even though he's supposed to be a war president.

The political landscape of the country could be radically different even just a few years from now. I have a feeling that all these fools boasting about right-wing domination of the country will be whistling a different tune very soon.

8. whatta load of crap....
I agree, what an arrogant party... You'd have to pay ME the $25 to get me to read more of that fairy tale. It's all mere gloating over there "landslide" victory.:puke:

W and Rumsnut WILL continue to botch the war until they get impeached or have a chance to dump it in somebody else's lap. God it's going to be a long four years and a lot of dead soldiers.....
